Q: I see many complaints about the air chamber losing it's effectiveness. is there a way to bleed off the water and refill air chamber with air?

Normally, the air chamber does not fill with water. If the weep hole is drilled in the pipe beneath the check valve, it should not lose its effectiveness over time. Q: I have a backup pump installed into the same discharge line as the main pump. Should I install this clunkless check valve on that line also?

Q: Are there 1.5" male threads under the bottom rubber thing? Can a flexible 1.5 hose connect to whatever is under the bottom rubber thing?

This check check valve is designed to be used with PVC pipe being attached with the rubber couplings on both ends. The bottom part is not threaded. For more information I would recommend calling our service team at 800-991-0466 option 3.

Q: Does drilling a hole below this check valve reduce the clunking ??
