Destroyed by squirrels in 6 days
I'm sure if it had lasted this bird feeder would have been very easy to clean but within a week it was totally destroyed by squirrels. Every port was badly chewed and the perches either completely off or falling off. I know now I should have spent out and bought one with metal ports but this described itself as tough and was nearly twenty pounds! I've got through many seed feeders over the years and this was the flimsiest, definitely not worth that amount of money.

Birds love it !!
Love it and the birds do too. Bought it because I have lots and lots of birds in my garden. I already have feeders but there are so many fledglings this year and so much fighting going on to eat thought I'd treat them. I do like to watch them, sparrows, goldfinches, greenfinches, chaffinches, blue tits, coal tits, yellow hammers and lots more. My husband says I spoil them. But hey ho I've been feeding them for years, can't stop now.The feeder is easy to refill and also looks as if it will be easy to clean out and having 6 port holes more birds can feed at once and sparrows do like to feed in groups I find. I'm really pleased I bought it .

Excellent product, simple to clean
When I ordered this I didn't realise that this feeder comes apart for cleaning. We have the amoeba bird disease in our area, so I am careful to clean the feeders and use two in rotation. My old feeders were impossible to clean thoroughly, and were so caked in filth that i decided to renew the feeders. With these the base twists off (simple bayonet fitting), the rod holding the perches in place slides out and the perches can be removed, and the cylinder cleaned with with bottle brush. I've given it 5 for sturdiness based on a comparison with the previous feeders, which I've had out summer and winter for several years. I'm well pleased.

Easy clean!! Perfect!!
My other bird feeder broke but im so glad it did as it was a real pain to clean.Im so pleased with this easy clean feeder, i have arthritis in my hands & foundI was wasting so much time cleaning my old feeder out & struggling so muchwith painful hands. I have an array of birds coming into my garden includingGold finches and bull finches, i added sunflower hearts in this easy fill feeder& they all came flocking, i can't praise this product enough, it has made my lifeSo much easier & will be buying more of these soon. :)

took to it immediately
so far so good. Put this up yesterday next to the old one as suggested until they get used to it. I hooked it on the tree in our back garden in the evening after they had finished feeding and at 6.30 the next morning there was a goldfinch already feeding from it. Much better as you only need one feeder as it has the 6 perches so only 1 to fill up and clean instead of 3 in our case. Only slight downside is that the seed can fall out of the holes if not careful. Considering buying another one for the front gardenUpdate after less than one week all 6 perches are full and no waste on the floor so no pigeons either. Am now buying another one.

Very disappointed
Lasted less than three weeks! I had a Gardman feeder for almost ten years that looked the same as this one but was an absolute nightmare to dismantle and clean so when I saw this easy clean version I was so happy and instantly ordered. However, I did not realise that the Gardman perching posts etc were made of metal whilst on this one they are all plastic. It has taken the squirrels about two and a half weeks to destroy all the perches save one so its useless for my wee birds. I also found it this morning with the bottom completely off and it empty. So its going in the bin and Ive wasted 20 quid and need to buy another Gardman with all the horrible dismantling

Thrilled to bits and they are eating already from it.
Arrived ahead of time and to say I am pleased is an understatement. I am thrilled to bits with the feeder and I think so are the Goldfinches. It is a very good quality feeder and sooo easy to fill and hang on a tree. The best part is that I filled it up went into the house wait and see how long it would take for a bird to land on it and I think it took all of three minutes before a Goldfinch arrived and stayed feeding for at least another 2 minutes. I have just gone back to have another look and there is another one feeding from it. So safe to say they like it. What I have done is placed it in the tree next to the old feeder that it will replace until they are used to it. I have ordered a tray to go underneath the feeder to save the lawn as it was making a mess with all the seed being thrown around but it hasn't arrived as yet.

Made of plastic - not squirrel proof
I already have a Jacobi Jayne Ring-pull feeder and mistakenly thought that I was buying more of the same... However, these ones are plastic and a squirrel has already chewed a hole in the one I put outside. Unfortunately I bought two of them, as my original one is so good - it has metal fittings. Be warned if you have squirrels visiting your garden!
