I wanted to love this..
Delivered more quickly than I expected. The quality is great. This is no lightweight “screw up and stuff in a bag” sweaty item.BUT….Ok so I have specific needs. I hoped this would meet them and it’s so very, very close..I’m a 6’, bit overweight normal 57 year old English man. The hood itself and neck opening just is too small, even with the many adjustments let out to their fullest. This means that the poncho hangs on me from the top of my head, rather than from the shoulders. I have to spend two hours walking around locking up a school / emptying bins. It’s just not comfortable. I was in teh equivalent of a monsoon (enough to drown my fairly waterproof torch) and my trunk and head remained dry (some wind blown in through the side gaps, obviously). But my waist borne box of keys stayed dry, which is good. Clearly, my arms were soaked and i had to remove watch but that’s to be expected..the claustrophobic neck opening and hood though - very sad about this. I left it too long waiting for rain before I tried the fit. If you buy one - and you’ve a shorter neck/ smaller head than me I am sure you’ll love it - try it on straightaway.

Finally a water proof one
I work security and I've been needing a water proof poncho and my company got some expensive ones like over $200 ones that weren't water proof at all I bought this one and it is actually worth it and to top it all its in my size which is rare

Heavy Duty
The media could not be loaded. The most surprising aspect of this FIRE TECK Military Tactical Poncho is it's apparent quality of materials and construction. Being more familiar with normal, light weight, backpacking rain-gear, the thick, heavy duty fabric of this poncho is immediately impressive. When examining the garment more closely, it becomes clear that there has been a lot of attention to detail exercised in the design and assembly. The advertising touts the advantages of the multiple neck hole adjustments and closures.Fire Teck is obviously proud of their accomplishment in this area, and they have good reason to be.I don't think I'll ever need to employ all of draw string, zipper, and hook & loop features around the hood, but the capability of sealing it from weather is there. In this area it's more like a snowboarding parka or spacesuit than an ordinary poncho. The sides fasten with the typical two sided snaps that I assume can be used to attach multiples of these ponchos together to form a larger tarp,All four corners have large, sturdy grommets. Those corners are also reinforced with gussets made of the same heavy material as the rest of the poncho. That's important when using it as a tarp or shelter.I'm in no position to verify the technical specifications of the waterproofing of the tarp, but it appears VERY well done. There are lots of tents that have waterproofing that looks inferior compared to this bit of rain gear.Oh, and it has a LARGE chest pocket / pouch too. I almost forgot. That also has a zipper closure and a robust storm flap that secures with hook & loop material. The entire poncho can be stuffed into that pocket, making it a self contained storage / carrying pouch. When the poncho is stored in that pouch, there is exposed a handy ring that can be used for hanging or attaching to some other piece of gear. The Fire Teck poncho is a good poncho.

Love it
With winter approaching it will keep all my equipment dry and has Velcro for my shoulder and back patches, only wish there was a left chest Velcro for badge patch

Definitively Rain Proof
Got two of these for the wife and I to do hiking trips (or long dog walks) on weekends at various parks. Very durable. Pretty lightweight. Only issue is around the neck area for me, but I wear a stout 19 in collar, so understandable for it to rub a bit on me.
