For me, I cannot give a comprehensive review, simply because I have not been able to find time to listen to the whole guide.I am glad that audible literature, with a wide range of material,is easy to use, bookmarks and indexing.Lack of eye strain specifically for mobile devices. I suffer from dry eyes,allied by disability issues.The link between both speaks for itself.Thus the 4star rating,the book itself is the free offer given when you start Amazon audible service.So as a first time user I think it will provide a practical guide to the use of Amazon Dot.Time will tell.

Finally got it to work - needed an idiot's guide to technology, We are now in full control of Radio 4 and a light bulb.

Love this but really only bought it for integration with SONOS which has still not happened. Just waiting for that.

Poor, very poor not worth the £4 paid for this digital download.Shame I could not get my money back.

I liked how easy it was to set up. I will be recommending it to my daughter. It is great to listen my music though, an is fun to ask questions to.

This is one of many great help books that John Slavio has written.As you read this book, one will want to go out and purchase an Echo Dot system.The author has given us a look into one of the most enjoyable systems, in my opinion, presently out there.There is a long list of jobs the Dot can perform, such as:Turning on the lights in your home.Keeping up with your grocery list.Giving you the traffic updates.Keeping up with your to-do list.Opening your garage doors.Planning trips.An appointment calendar.School lunches.Car problems.Even just joking around with the Dot.So many more things, that you can do with it, that you'll never get tired of its functions.This is similar to the Amazon Echo, but it's less expensive, and it does not include speakers.The author has also included a list of devices one can purchase to add to your Dot. He has also made suggestions on how to speak to it properly so as to allow the Dot to understand your request.Finally, you don't have to worry about not knowing how to install your Amazon Dot, because, like all of Slavio's books, he explains everything in easy to follow instructions.This is another book to keep handy in your home automation library.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book based on the title. It is, in fact, exactly what it seems to be: a user guide for the Amazon Echo Dot. First the author lists the differences between the Echo Dot generation one and two, then it lists the differences between the Echo Dot and the Echo. Aferwards it gives instruction on how to set it up and how to stream music. Also it gives a very basic (incomplete) guide to setting up a smart home. The book really isn't worth paying for, all of the information available in the book is readily available online for free. Most of it is also found in the user guide included with the Echo Dot when you purchase it. There is no valid reason for buying this book.

there is so much that we use the echo dot for that i don't know what to specify. does so many things and sound from small speaker is great. Alexa is amazing.

This book contains information about the Echo Dot and many of it's accessories. Very helpful for the newbe and others as well.

Very little discussion on very many uses for the DOT. Was hoping for more examples of uses with instructions.
