Works Great But Beware Of One Little Thing
I used mine all Summer to care for my hydroponic tomatoes and it worked great. Be careful when using it to not do what I did. It's a little difficult to reach the water in my set up. I knew better but it slipped my mind and I did it anyway. If you grasp the meter by the very top you may just drop the entire meter into the water. The top encloses the battery and is made to come off to for battery replacement. Just be forewarned that you can't hold onto the cap when you use the meter or the cap might pop off and the meter will get submerged in water. I was able to dry mine out and saved it but you might not be so lucky. It's not designed to be water proof. The sampling end is but the rest of it isn't.

You'll be surprised
We've now gone to drinking reverse osmosis water instead of the Berky water as it has the fewest total dissolved solids.

I was surprised how easy it was to use this meter
I found the meter to be accurate and easy to use

Good Meter. Tested with Distilled, Zephyrhills, Filterd Tap, Refridge Filtered and Regular Tap
Good Meter. Tested with Distilled, Zephyrhills, Filterd Tap, Refridge Filtered and Regular TapDistilled came out to be Zero which is should be.The other readings seemed to be inline. We have pretty good water where we live - lots of springs, sand and lime stone geology so the the natural filtration is really good - although water is "hard". The Zephyhills was only about 10-20 points below my normal filtered (cheap chacoal filter) tap water. So yes, i can say this meter appears to be accurate and good value. Comes with a case and removable battery. I was suprised by my new frigidaire filter that goes in my fridge - that filter (Frigidaire ULTRAWF ) actualy provided a slightly hirgher TDS than my filtered kitch tap water. Makes me wonder about that $50.00 filter!

Bought to test my RO system functionality
I bought this to test the efficacy of my RO system's membrane. I was due for my annual filter change, and had a sense that my RO membrane was shot. I purchased this about a week before ordering my filters and used it to confirm that the membrane was indeed shot (so I needed all 4 filters, not just the other 3 excluding the membrane).. I got readings of about 180ppm, which was only marginally lower than my tap water. I was a bit skeptical, since I would have through the other 3 filters in the RO system would reduce the TDS by a bit more (albeit not down to RO quality), but I was wrong about that...So, I went ahead and ordered all 4 filters here on Amazon. The following weekend, I sanitized the system and replaced the filters. I ran two tanks of water through the system (to flush out any impurities), and took a reading towards the end of the second tankful. That reading was in the 40s from the RO system, while my tap water read in the 180s - I took another set of alternate readings which were consistent -- RO about 40, tap water in the 180s, which shows that the meter was indeed identifying the different TDS levels. After another two tanks of flushing, my RO system was down to 35, while the tap water still read in the 180s.About the red/green backlighting: it is set at a very low threshold on this meter -- if your water is not near-RO quality, you will get a red backlight along with the reading. While it's safe and pretty typical of tap water between 100-300ppm, it will have red backlighting to indicate it's not ideal. If your water is closer to ideal, the backlighting will turn green.Another important note -- I bought a similar meter here last year, but despite saying it had a 2032 battery, the battery was soldered onto the board, so it wasn't replaceable. So I returned it on the basis that I didn't want a disposable meter. This one is not only removable, but at the time I ordered it, they also provided 2 extra 2032 batteries.

Es muy variante en su medidas
En una misma agua en el mismo momento te puedes dar diferentes medidas, no sé k tan seguro seas

Not the best
Temperature part on this tester is awful slow and basically is useless. I never see a temp gauge that would take so long to get to the water temperature. The temp should be instant and there is no excuse for how slow it works. The water quality check works fine and it is pretty quick.
