Bought it as a Christmas gift
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 10-year-old granddaughter. She likes it, I felt, however, that she wasn’t quite tall enough, or her legs weren’t long enough for this particular style. But she is keeping it!

Too loose
I bought this for my 10-year old son. He already has a ripstick, but his current one is made by Razer and it was getting too small for him. We decided to buy him a bigger one, but the Razer brand was much more expensive. After receiving this off-brand, my son was so excited and opened the box right away. 5 minutes later, he came in crying because he fell….hard. This new style was much different. The two different parts where your feet go were much looser, making it hard for him to balance on. We immediately boxed it up and will be returning it.Here’s some background…my boy can easily ride his bike, Razer ripstick, one-wheeler, hoverboard, and a skateboard. So, this was not his first rodeo.

Fun Skateboard Variation
This is the second RipStik product that my family has owned. The first one was a RipStik that looks like a surfboard, which is functionally essentially the same as this RipStik Caster Board, but it looks like a surfboard and it rides a bit different. This board is the more classic RipStik style and it is very fun as well. If you aren't familiar with the RipStik, it is sort of like a skateboard, but it twists in the middle and has two inline skate style wheels under each foot. The board is propelled by shifting your weight on your feet back and forth to create movement as opposed to taking one leg off the board to kick as you would with a standard skateboard. This is a fun variation for cruising around on. I wouldn't say that it is a good replacement or alternative to a skateboard for doing tricks or using at a skate park. The overall quality is pretty good. If you are rough on it and try to do tricks, it isn't really designed for that and that could cause it to prematurely fail. If you just cruise around on it, the build quality is adequate.Since different varieties of this board sell for different prices, it is difficult to say whether or not it is a good value. I'd say that if you can get one for around $60 or less, it is a decent value.
