Duck Dodgers: The Complete Series (Blu-ray)

Great collection of Looney Tunes Animation at its best!
Duck Dodgers is a step up in quality animation from the normal Looney Tunes cartoons. It is evident that the artists had fun making these episodes. They are witty and clever, and always fun to watch. I'm glad they put these out on DVD, and I'm glad I have a Blue Ray DVD player so I can view them. It would be great if they would also put these out in standard DVD.

Classic characters revived for an excellent TV series expanding on classic short.
Reviving Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese popular cartoon, the Blu-Ray set features all three seasons (39 episodes on three discs). The set looks surprisingly good with as many episodes on each disc (keep in mind each episode is under a half hour). Colors pop, detail is quite nice. Keep in mind there isn't film grain because this was digitally shot.Dodgers takes its cue from “Buck Rodgers” even more so than before using the idea of Dodgers revived from being frozen (like Rodgers). The audio sounds quite nice presented in DTS 2.0.The continuing adventures of incompetent hero Duck Dodgers with his Young Eager Space Cadet (Porky Pig) as Dodgers is put on trial defending Earth against Marvin Martian, fight off the Catapoids attractive female invaders who ‘turn’ at sundown. Other adventures await Dodgers. The show comes with English and French audio tracks plus subtitles in English. Unfortunately for Spanish speakers, Spanish isn’t available. As m extra the original Jones-Maltese cartoon is also included. My only complaint is that the sequel shorts that were made later weren't included. Heck, I would have thrown Bugs' cartoons with Marvin in the mix as well (even if they don't quite fit).

A Reminder of The Good Old Days Of Looney Toons
Everything today is computer generated or enhanced. There's something about the original Looney Tunes cartoons that you won't find anymore. Those hand drawn scenes, along with full orchestrations by Carl Stalling, resulted in "crafted" magic. This set is created with today's computer generated drawings and electronic keyboard soundtracks. Fun, in a bit of a different way. Overall, worth it if you like the characters, and want additional stories to enjoy.

Hidden gem of a show!
I caught a few episodes when this originally aired, and I remembered enjoying it. Decided to roll the dice and pick up this collection (was a huge Looney Tunes fan growing up). Glad I did! Binged in a few days. The animation is great, not as good as the classic WB cartoons, but is better than most animated shows from the past few decades. Lots of homages to the originals, you can tell the animators and showrunners loved the classics too.The humor is great as well, most episodes will connect. The random dud episode thankfully doesn't take forever to get through, as these are just 11-minute shorts. If you liked Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain, you'll enjoy this too.
