This works only in some doors. But if it’s the right kind of door, it definitely works very well.There’s a certain kind of door which extends over the lock leaving no room to insert this. For example, NCL cruise ship cabin and Italian hotels.

This I thought was a great idea when I’m gone and need to feel xtra safe… well we had a door lock went in. Next morning needed to be on the go and could not get the door open. Called room service they could not get us out there was a metal door casing, and as she open the door the casing from the outside of the door got stuck on the lock, and you could not open the door. I would not buy this I don’t know how much I’m going to be charged, because somehow with the credit card to hold the lock in place so we can open the door de magnetized the locking mechanism so as we were gone all day from our hotel, the door would not lock it would only lock if we were inside the room.

No more maids knocking once & immediately opening the door. A must have for traveling.

Only works is door facing and door are flush. Any offset will not permit the lock to hold securely. I had to return mine for this reason.

If you buy this, make sure your door doesn’t have a door jam that is sticking out. It will not hold. Other than that, it works great! Unfortunately, not for my house lol
