The box comes with basic instructions since the whole process is pretty straightforward, but I recommend slowly screwing in each screw (about a quarter turn at a time) to ensure even mounting pressure. I torqued mine down until I felt pressure and then gave it a little more after that to make sure it was good. Make sure you go corner to corner diagonally when you are screwing it in.Results: I saw my idle temps come down to as low as 23 Celsius (about ambient), and an average idle temp reduction of about 2 degrees. While web browsing I actually saw a temperature reduction of 5-6 degrees (31 Celsius before, 25 after) which was interesting. It also seems to cool down faster. As for gaming, I never saw it go above 60 Celsius, and usually peaked at about 55 degrees in matches which was a reduction of about 5 degrees for both.As a disclaimer, I also changed my thermal paste from Artic Silver to Arctic MX-4. I made other changes to my system, such as going from 1080p to 1440p but I maintained the same FPS so that shouldn't affect CPU utilization much.Overall I definitely recommend this bracket, especially if you're worried about temps. It is definitely helping my cooler reduce my CPU temps and feels much more secure/even than the stock ILM bracket. I feel like this thing would be crucial in an ITX build or any small/low airflow builds in general.

Arrived the very next day, and installed my 13600k into it's socket with ease fitting perfectly. This product has become so popular now that there is a sticker of authenticity on the box. Make sure to do a bit of research and read some tips about these. You don't want to mess around not knowing exactly how to use these, as it is very easy to cause serious damage. Doing my research I had no issues, and when mounting my cooler it all sits more flush now. Highly prefer this over stock, as this keeps the pressure evenly distributed for the cooling mount while holding the processor more securely in place. For performance it has achieved a more desirable temperature. I'd choose this method primarily for adding longevity. This item is at a great price and offers a huge value over some of the other listings for the exact same thing. Can't beat it's performance. They now also offer these for AMD sockets.

THe traditional mounting bar and tensioner of the LGA 1700 socket seamed to put uneven pressure on the CPU risking damange. With this mounting block, even pressure on all sides. Excellent product. Amazing quality. Will not mount another CPU without this device. Also helps with ensuring thermal paste doesn't get too far over the die if happent to overapply a little.

First, I build PC's and repair them daily and have a lot of experience in this.This was a personal purchase to test and I can tell you even without much research that your experience will vary.1. This product is meant to prevent your CPU from bending with the force of the stock cpu socket holder.If your cpu is clearly bending, (use a flat sheet of paper or something 100% flat to check it), This will help by alleviating that pressure... but your mileage may vary, as there are some motherboards that don't bend the cpu at all, and some that do... and there's no 100% foolproof way to know what motherboards will do what.2. I had no issues installing it, but if it's uneven you'll get worse temperatures, and risk damaging the motherboard if you don't tighten it correctly.Overall the product itself seems solid. I don't see that big of temp drop, but 1-3 degrees overall isn't making much difference on a 13900k.I wouldn't buy this without researching your motherboard and cpu bending, if there's no trend of bending for your motherboard, you are probably not going to see any decrease in temps.

For some context, my intel I9-1900kf died and I got an RMA so I figured while I install the new CPU, I may as well upgrade to a contact frame. I can’t speak much on temps as I also upgraded my AIO at the same time. But I’d say if you pair this with a good AIO you will be happy. All of the people writing reviews about no change in temperature are kind of missing the point. This is a $10 upgrade for your pc, it may or may not give you better temps but it will ensure low temps when paired with a good aio. I wouldn’t buy this and expect your temps to drop significantly. But it is good to have nonetheless and ensures your cpu won’t bend over time. Quality is solid. Install is pretty much as tough as it gets for upgrading a pc. You’ve gotta pull out the motherboard and remove all of your connections so make sure you take pictures of everything as it is before you install. I probably wouldn’t have bought this if I wasn’t already swapping out CPU’s but it’s worth doing if you are already pulling your mobo out/ upgrading other stuff.

Makes your motherboard and CPU look very elegant. It doesn't do anything for cooling but it does make it easier to install the cooler and to make sure is all flush. Very easy to install.

Works as it should and I did a presser test and it in fact does put a more even pressure. Not to bad of a price either. I don’t know about cooling but I can see ho it could help. The fit is perfect too.
