it works but as others have said another 30 sec on the timer would be better and the light is about half the brightness of the original

It freaks out people and makes them open and close the fridge quickly. Time for activation of the alarm is too short and it becomes anoying very quickly.

Well, it works as described, however, it has made trips to the fridge rather unpleasant.- the light is a cold white light and not the usual warm white you associate with fridge bulbs.- the strobe kicks in after 10 seconds. It's so fast that the experience is extremely unpleasant and if you suffer from epilepsy, I would avoid this. It's amazing how little you can do in 10 seconds; the entire household are moaning about it. Just try restocking the fridge!- the alarm kicks in after a further 10 seconds. This is more pleasant although if you have walked away from the fridge at this point, you may not hear it because its quite quiet and maybe muffled further by the door.Bottom line, it does what it says and I can't wait to close the door.I would give it full marks if it gave me a little longer to find what I wanted in the fridge, perhaps 15 seconds(?) didn't flash so fast(!) and the alarm got progressively louder. A warm white would be a nice touch too.

Whilst this product broadly does what it says it does, there are really quite a few issues that mean i'm very tempted to change my bulb back again. Unfortunately this appears to be the only one of its type on the market, otherwise i'd be definitely shopping around.A summary of the issues I have with it:Putting the bulb in was a rather difficult fit - very tight, and seriously thought i'd broken the bulb just to get it to make contactWhen you open the fridge door, the light doesn't always come on - maybe 50-75% of the time?The light is a very harsh white light, which is very difficult on the eyesThe light has a very noticeable flicker and background buzz (and this isn't the alarm!)The light flashing at 10 seconds is just too soon, and there is no way to adjust thisThe alarm is reasonable enough if the door is wide open or if you're very nearby, but if the door is ajar and you're in the next room, you won't hear it.In summary, it has on a couple of occasions where it has indeed done its job, and warned me I left my fridge door slightly ajar, but in a month or so of use, two useful alarms vs daily frustration is a poor trade-off.

My fridge door had a tendency to bounce back when swung close and stay slightly ajar. This bulb provides a good reminder to close it properly. It stays on for 10s, then flashes for 10s, then starts to beep too. Ideally it wouldn't flash for me, the beeping is sufficient to alert me and 10s isn't quite long enough to rummage around the fridge before it starts to flash. As others have noted the colour is a white light vs traditional bulbs. Also note the base of the bulb above the screw thread is wider than a traditional bulb, so may cause an issue if your bulb socket is inset too far into your fridge.

It's a lot less bright than the bulb it replaced, but I'm already use to it.It starts to flash after a while then it starts beeping. Sometimes it just beeps for a second and resets. It usually beeps continuously and it's annoying as hell. That's what I wanted though to stop me leaving the fridge door open. So I'm glad I bought it but next time I'll buy a brighter one.

Annoying which is good for an alarm but buzzer needs longer delay

Does what it says on the tin - pity you can't adjust the delay time before it activates.The rapid flashing may be a problem to epileptics.
