Easy install and easy to read
Ideal for a motorhome

Not quite the complete answer.
The unit was reasonably easy to fit to the onboard diagnostic port.However. I could not understand why the speed should need to be adjusted given that this port provides information to crash investigators and potentially for court use. I am not an expert in this area though.Furthermore, when the unit was connected to the onboard diagnostic port, error messages relating to non working vehicle stability systems were displayed.I lost confidence in the unit at this point and disconnected it. The fault messages haven’t appeared since. As to reading the display, screen reflection was a problem particularly as 2 reflections were seen, rather like double vision. I did not fit the matt vinyl sticker which is claimed to cure reflection problems.

Good but!
I bought this for my Fiat Ducato campervan. The install was easy. It seems accurate straight from the box. However, because I have a solar panel that also charges the Fiat battery the increased voltage on even dull days means that the HUD never shuts down during daylight. The power supply comes from the single combined cable that plugs into OSB port. The supply is permanently live (not switched on only with the ignition). However, you can adjust the HUD 'on' voltage value but this is not helpful if you have a solar panel.I considered pulling in and out the single combined cable that is plugged into the display unit but the fitting felt loose to start with so repeated plugging in and out would not be good. Someone else said there is a work around of identifying the small power supply inner cable in the OSB plug extend it with a new power supply cable to a fuse which only comes on with the ignition. I am not feeling confident to do this at the moment.

Works perfect until it doesn't
I live in Ireland and my Nissan Juke is a british import with a mph speedo, I purchased this tool to have an easy to read kmh speedo. It works very well, readable even with the sun (I used the reflective piece of plastic provided), and accurate as it's connected to the car's computer. My only issue is that it randomly switches to other metrics or shut down when I passed speed bumps or potholes or sometimes for no reason. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it drives me mad ha ha. For the price, still a good deal no regret.

Reduces the stress of driving. Great for average speed traffic zones
Perfect. Does the job very well. Easy to read in daylight as well as nighttime.I don't mind the slight double-image - it doesn't stop it being readable. There's a stick-on panel in the box you can use if it bothers you.Note this supplier sells boxed units so you are guaranteed they are (i) brand new, (ii) complete. (Reviews of other sellers have complained about lack of instructions - they are obviously not new units but returns?)The speed is VERY accurate. But you will need to adjust it to match your car.Parameter 1 in the settings menu is a correction factor. This adjusts the calculated speed. Most car speedos over-read by 5-7% so the unit defaults to "107" (i.e. 7%). This means it alters the computer speed by adding on 7%. If your car's speedo is off by say 5% then you should set this setting to "105" instead. In practice just alter the setting until the HUD display matches your car speedo (when using OBD2).More importantly if using GPS (and not OBD2) then the calculated speed will already be accurate and needs NO correction factor. So if using GPS you should change the setting to "100" or "101". The displayed speed will then be correct. This may be why some people claim the displayed speed is wrong - if using GPS then you MUST change this correction factor or the display will be off by 7% (e.g. 70mph will be displayed as 77mph! Set the factor to 100 and 70mph will display as 70mph!). I've checked this against my car's sat nav and proven this is what happens. If the manufacturer is reading this then it would be better to automatically detect whether GPS or OBD is being used and automatically apply the correct factor (i.e. 100 for GPS or 107 for OBD). This would avoid a lot of the complaints. It also makes it easier for me to move the HUD between cars. For the benefit of people who bought without instructions here's how you change the correction factor:1) Get the display on your windscreen as normal (with power on, but engine not running)2) Push (more accurately 'pull' since you are working from behind) the dial wheel inwards and hold for 5 seconds.3) Menu setting "1" will be displayed. Push inwards for 1 second to change the value for this parameter.4) Push the dial wheel left or right until the display says 100 (or whatever number you need)5) Press inward again for 1 second to save. Then again for 5 seconds to exit the set-up mode.Overall, I'm very pleased with the HUD. It displays the speed clearly on the windscreen and saves a lot of eye movement. It can only aid road safety. I don't find it distracting at all. I wish I had one years ago!

Great item
We bought a new AutoSleeper motorhome and due to the wash room behind and lack of height adjustment in the steering wheel it made it really tricky to see the speedo.Thought I’d try this and its brilliant. Very accurate (went past speed signs and mirrored the HUD speed - you can adjust to compensate however).Clear instructions very easy to install and setup. Minor issue with the cable but seller was great and sorted the issue. Five stars.

Suzuki Swift 2008 OBDII HUD review
I'm using this HUD connected to my Suzuki Swift 2008 OBDII port which is on the left near the clutch and not hidden behind any panels. I prefer to place the HUD in a central location near the windscreen so the projection is in the lower third of the windscreen above the steering wheel. My reason for getting this is as my car doesn't have cruise control and with all the speed cameras, variable speed limits and so on... it gets tiring and distracting looking down at an analogue speedometer to make sure I'm not going too fast or too slow. I can now keep my head up and looking straight ahead with the digital display in my periphery vision. It makes driving less stressful.Pros• Speed and rpm displayed on HUD are close to what is reported on dashboard instrumentation• OBDII flat cable I was able to run between pillar and dashboard plastic• Visible in sunlight if placed near the windscreenCons• Auto power-off doesn't work - I tried menu setting 9 and choosing a voltage value less than when the car is on and more than when the car is turned off. It still does not turn off reliably so I have to manually disconnect the cable or otherwise risk a flat-battery.
