Neal’s Yard Remedies | Geranium Organic Essential Oil for Balancing Body & Mind with Certified Organic Ingredients | 10ml

I use a lot of essential oils as I make my own beard oils and beard balms. I am also a regular purchaser of Neal's Yard Remedies, so when this geranium oil came up for review, I jumped at the chance. On arrival, the bottle comes in a small cardboard box. The bottle has a protective seal which just twists off with the bottle lid. In the neck of the bottle is a typical dripper. Turn the bottle upside and tap the bottom for the drips to come out. The scent is nice and strong and reminds me of my grandmother who was obsessed with growing geraniums, and her whole house would be filled with that floral yet slightly spicy smell. I have used the oil in a blend of floral, citrus and woody homemade beard balms, and my beard now has a lovely subtle smell of the Italian coast. When I placed this bottle for the order to review it was retailing at £9.93 in early July 2022, but at the time of review in early August it had risen in price to £10.63. Although I appreciate that this is a) a well-known brand, and b) an organic oil, it is now at the top end of the price range I would be willing to pay if and when I need to restock this complementary bottle. That said, I can definitely recommend this to you.

This oil is a gorgeous smell but very strong! You need no more than 2 drops in a humidifier else I found it became quite overpowering. If using in an oil burner I recommend diluting or mixing with other scented oils. The botle quality is as expected of Neal Yard and it's easy to manage the amount you use at each time.

I used this oil in my oil diffuser and found it to be too overpowering.The scent is strong and made me feel a bit sick.

When it comes to essential oils, I am certain that Neal's Yard is the best out there. They tick all the boxes, from being completely organic and natural, to the stunning luxury presentation. This particular geranium essential oil was a joy to use for the last few weeks. Whether you are using this for aromatherapy diffusers or perhaps plan on making a massage oil with this, this essential oil won't disappoint. I actually tried both and in the diffuser, this essential oil proved to smell naturally strong and aromatic.This is a balancing oil and hence I did feel like my mood was a lot better after using. As for the massage oil, I diluted a few drops with coconut oil as a carrier. I found that this was perfect for muscle easing and reducing inflammation, especially after workouts.The packaging is beautifully made and certainly very luxury indeed. The quality is premium and perhaps the best you can find here on amazon. From Neal's Yard Remedies, this Geranium Organic Essential Oil is the real deal - a pure, vegan essential oil with organic certification from the Soil Association that comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The scent is distilled from both the leaves and flowers of the geranium.There are different ways this essential oil can be used. I like to burn 1-3 drops in a diffuser with jojoba or coconut oil - burn for 30-60 minutes at maximum then leave off for at least as long before relighting. Geranium can also be used as a massage oil using 7 drops to one tablespoon of oil.The 10ml iconic blue glass bottle describes this oil as 'balancing'. Certainly it's very calming and relaxing. If I had to hazard a guess at Neal's Yard's own favourite fragrance, geranium would be a definite contender. It features as an ingredient in so many of their preparations - and smells wonderful.
