This Nespresso decaf intenso espresso tastes so great and has such pleasing body that it’s hard to believe it’s decaf. These intensity 7 capsules fit Nespresso VertuoLine machines only. I drink coffee with caffeine daily and start everyday with a regular espresso or a cup of coffee, but I usually stop drinking caffeinated drinks by midday. I covet intense espressos and bold medium and dark roasts, and most decaf coffee just doesn’t taste close to regular and isn’t that enjoyable by comparison.But this Nespresso decaf intenso espresso capsules brew incredibly satisfying espresso that has a rich, delicious and smooth flavor with cocoa notes and a dense and creamy texture with good crema. This decaf combines medium and dark roasted beans, but it doesn’t taste over roasted and isn’t ever sour or overly bitter. I’ve always added milk and sugar (or honey or Jaggery) to my espresso and do prefer this decaf intenso prepared that way, but this is an espresso I actually enjoy plain. I can’t say that about most espresso.This decaf espresso is perfect for evenings and is so satisfying I enjoy it as a substitute for dessert. It never keeps me up at night, so I assume it either has minimal or nonexistent caffeine. I initially started buying this Nespresso decaf intenso a couple years ago for get togethers with family and friends who only drink decaf and the decaf drinkers raved about it, and I also enjoyed it so much I’ve continued to buy it. This decaf espresso tastes as good as the best caffeinated Nespresso espresso capsules. Love it. 5+ stars.

These Nespresso Capsules VertuoLine, Decaffeinato pods are great for my husband, who likes a cuppa in the evenings, but doesn't want to spaz out on caffeine all night when he wants to treat himself with one.These are a milder roast that even I don't mind drinking (not normally a decaf fan, but these are an exception for me), and they form a nice crema in our Vertuoline Nespresso machine.To sip on them, you would be pretty hard pressed to even tell they were decaf, which is pretty impressive, to me.If you're not into mild roasts, then this one may not be for you - but just note that even though it's milder, it still has a rich flavor to it that tastes great, unlike most decafs. It tastes gourmet each and every time, so it gets two thumbs up from this household!

Pricey but great product

As much as I love caffeine, I had to give it up (at least temporarily) per my doctor. These VertuoLine Decaffeinato capsules make decent tasting coffee. The Decaffeinato is a medium roast coffee, a 6 on the Nespresso intensity scale. (By contrast, my husband’s Nespresso is usually 9-11 on the scale and is always caffeinated!) The downside of the capsules is their high price. These capsules were specifically designed for brewing in VertuoLine machines (Nespresso’s second generation of in-home brewing system). Currently, they are the only capsules that will work in these machines. This is a relatively new product; hopefully, in time, the price will drop.

I ordered a Vertoline Nespresso a few years ago, and it has been life-changing. Why go to an expensive coffee shop when you can make wonderful lattes at home. I like to use the coffee pods to make my lattes instead of the espresso pods because they don't give you much coffee. I use the frother to whip up and warm some flavored creamer, eggnog, almond milk or whatever, and then add it to the coffee. The coffee is also good by itself, but be aware that there will be a lot of foam in the coffee. It's hard to find a flavorful decaf, so I will keep ordering these. At $1 a cup, it's still a lot cheaper than a coffee shop.
