Stagg Music Stand - Black

Having been quite literally let down by 'traditional' music stands which tend to collapse if you look at them the wrong way, to use something like this is such a pleasure. It is sturdy, stable, incredibly adjustable, very well finished, no sharp edges etc., all the various adjusters are easy and positive to use and not 'fiddly'.Despite its' strength and stability it's also lightweight, looks good, and folds to a very convenient portable unit. I would be so proud to have designed this product!

You can't go wrong with Stagg products. Good quality and value. Bought to hold (other than sheet music) an A3 whiteboard to scribble music notes and ideas on. Perfect size and much sturdier than those pesky 'bunny ear' collapsible music stands and this model has none of those annoying springy clips that get in the way. Arrived well packaged by vendor and in good time.

For me the ideal music stand if it's gonna be set up in one place, not so great for portability as the music holder doesn't fold.Build like no other stand I've come across, recommended if it's not going to be moved from place to place too often.

A well made and sturdy stand. Plenty of adjustment for easy viewing. Strong enough to hold a book of music and wide enough to layout several sheets at once. Minor flaw is it is a little bulky for easy carriage when you loaded up with guitar case/s and amp/s.

Bought this to replace the usual foldable/portable lightweight type of music stand (the finger chopper) our child had been using because we were going to use a violin holder that attaches to the central post.This Stagg stand is really excellent quality but only a little dearer than the lightweight type. It is very stable and I have no qualms about using this in conjunction with a violin holder to hold a £300 violin from it in a household with boisterous children - it would take anything but a direct hit. The metal desk has enough room to hold the workbooks and an iPad (metronome app) too.The tilt mechanism has a wide range in case there is glare/sitting/standing etc.

I was looking for a music stand that would be reasonally lightweight and sturdy and this stand fits the bill.

Solid as a rock. This is the practice stand I SHOULD have purchased a long time ago. Pros are its strength and ability to withstand any vibration. Cons are its weight if you're planning on using it around the neighbourhood. It is not really designed for easy transportif you're walking or travelling by bus or train. If you travel by car, there are no real problems in taking it to practices away from home.It has a large surface area so a lot of music can be spread across it if necessary, quite securely.

Great value for money and this is the real business of a music stand. My other was very flimsy by comparison and limited how much you could put on it.
