Makes You Reconsider your Views
Really interesting ideas - particularly that today to sell your brand and make money you need to appeal to people's moral values and the idea of self-realisation for younger demographic not their selfish side. It is argued that some of the truly terrible things e.g.destroying nature, animal habitat and disrespecting and disrespecting and exploiting children and adults living in poorer countries will be found out by consumers in richer countries and hurt the brand. I really hope this is true. So far I see a lot of in your face hypocrisy e.g. big brands pretending to be green in the northern hemisphere while continuing to destroy, pollute and exploit in Latin America and Africa and the public largely not picking up on this due to lack of mainstream coverage and lack of ethical alternative for high tech products.

The Perfect Introduction to Marketing
The Dummies Books are excellent. This one makes the perfect introduction to marketing, and can be used to help get a basic understanding, or to get a grounding and so move on to be able to read and understand more complex texts on the subject. Recommended

It's really for dummies. In a good way.
This book is about marketing. Actually Marketing for "Dummies". It's really helpful though. You can get it for sure, you won't regret it. I approved it!

Great for small and large business
This is another excellent book from the For Dummies people. It is excellent for small or large business and it is really up to date - including super information for online sales and working with social media. And it also goes into behavioural psychology, which is both fascinating and key to really effective marketing. My oldest son has recently started his own business and is finding much of the content tremendously useful. He has gone to a few local courses for owners of small businesses, but this leaves them all for dead. Brilliant stuff.
