My PC had a 120Gb SSD (C:) and a 1TB HDD. I kept getting messages that the SSD (C:) was full. I tried to create space by deleting apps and moving them to D:, but they would only reinstall to C:. So I needed a larger SSD that was SATA compatible rather than NVMe. This seemed to fit the bill. I purchased an external M.2 to USB enclosure to hold the card while it was cloned. The 'free' cloning software I needed turned out to be only free to download, but at the point of use I had to pay £36. Nevertheless the cloning went well, and having installed the new SSD I can say it works very well and my boot up time is now under 15 seconds. My OS partition on the SSD C: is now a healthy 400Gb+.

Very useful device for data storage, as a boot drive, or as a clone drive.

This thing was cheap and it shows. I mean it works but I didn’t expect an SSD to be slower than the SATA drive it replaced. Maybe I was naive, that’s cool - I can only hope someone else learns from my stupidity.

Grabbed this for my #idgafgamingpc AND WITH THE 35$ MB, new install of w10. IT WORKS.awsome SPEED, AWESOME PRICE..IF YOU STARTING A PC BUILD, AND OR BOUGHT A NEW MOTHERBOARD, GRAB THIS. hook it up, And i had windows up and booted in like a minute, VS. trying too use old slow, PITA' HDD/SSD Disc style drives.. I bought a 1tb version also.. Really cant bead these.. there speeds are fantastic.. temps are nice. And it works..update: short circuit protection..(no) Somehow, a wire on my PSU HARNESS sata PLUG, shorted out, I was making some adjustment inside the case of my build. (while it was idle) somehow it shorted across the power and ground wires im thinking on the sata plug.. shut the computer down.I went too restart it, and had NOTHING.. Luckily i just used this SSD for my windows storage.. and somehow, the cheap 1tbb finxang, that was on the same power lead as this one. and it DID NOT burn up..SO i guess this 240gb did not have short circuit protection? If i wasn't messing around with things, it probably wouldn't have shorted out.. and or i did not have it mounted with screws properly, which would have grounded it? idk... just had it stuck in the case on some Velcro tape (was a new build test and tunning and adding stuff)IF I would have put this SSD IN PROPER, BOOTED IT, AND LEFT IT ALONE, IT PROB WOULD STILL BE WORKING.. my fault or not, this one is no longer working, yet my 1.8gb big WD hdd, and 1tb finxafa SSD both still worked after the short out.. so.. thats all i got too say...BUT WTH, i got this cheap, and it helped me build like 2 pc's too get them up and running, and i used it, and gamed off it for a while.. IT DID HELP my BOOT SPEED AND GAMIMG ALOT IN THE OLD DELL OPTIPLEX I STARTED WITH. Im glad i only had windows on it and nothing else..
