Great pair of gardeing gloves for any gardening fanatic!
These are a great pair of gardeing gloves for any gardening fanatic; they are lightweight, provide good grip, fit the hand snugly and function well at protecting the hands safe and keeping them clean and dry during gardening. They are, however, slightly small fitting even in the large option, so would be better suited to adults with smaller hands. I would nevertheless recommend purchasing these ready for the spring time!

Good but small
Nice gloves but too small for me. Luckily they fit my wife!

Extremely comfortable work gloves
I use these Briers gloves for everything from woodworking to landscaping. Because they are so comfortable I slip them on for all sorts of jobs to protect my hands. Other gloves get in the way, but you'll want to wear these. They are soft leather in the palms and fingers and have a woven material on the backs. Very flexible, good feel, reasonable grip and, when they get muddy just wash them under the tap, let them dry, and they look like new again. Each pair lasts me about a year; I'm on my 4th pair now and I wear them almost every day throughout the year. I wish I'd found these gloves 30 years ago!

Amazing price - excellent general use gloves
Excellent value for money product.I've used these for all sorts of work, carpentry, cleaning, mechanical etc.For the price they're really good -- remembering that these are just £6!!! So far they've been used and abused in the garden mostly, but no sign of wear, they've been wet and covered in mud/dirt and still perfect for use.Overall, for this price, i'd buy several pairs!!Size was perfect fit for me (large), but of course could vary depending on the hand size.

Good grip
Found these gloves to be the perfect fit and for gardening. Tough, durable and secure around the wrist using the velcro tabs.

Inferior Quality Compared to old Briers Professional design
I've been a big fan of Briers Pro gloves for years and have gone through several pairs in regular use. I was really hoping, based on the product photo when I bought these, that they would be the old Briers Pro gloves with 'Briers' on the velcro wrist strap. Instead, they're the new version (no 'Briers'), which Briers seem to have have started supplying this year.Couple of things to note:1) The sizing has changed. The old size 9/L gloves were quite roomy, the new ones are distinctly snug on me. Not uncomfortably so, but it makes them slightly harder to take on and off quickly, which I often need to do in my job as a gardener.2) The stitching seems to have deteriorated. I nearly ripped off the velcro wrist strap on my latest pair when undoing it, after applying no more force than I always have in the past. (Edit to note: same thing happened with a second pair, so not a one-off...)Hopefully Briers will take note and go back to their previous manufacturer (I guess that's what's changed) or at least insist on them being manufactured to a higher standard in future.

Very comfortable gloves but can get ripped easily on brambles
Terrific and comfortable gloves but the fingers can get easily ripped on brambles. I do a lot of gardening so probably replace them every six months or so, hence the 3 stars for durability

Best gardening gloves yet ...
My two pairs of Briers have just been replaced; with two more pairs. They are most excellently thornproof, and great at keeping out stinging nettles and other nasties. The gloves have been washed, scrubbed, and line dried many, many times, and given a really hard life. They take a very long time to wear out (finger tips have worn through). Briers are easily the best gardening gloves I have ever had, and well worth the money.
