Listening for the Crack of Dawn (American Storytelling)

One of my all time favorite story tellers has done it again. Spinning a delightful series of his childhood memories into a book you just can't put down. Prepare to laugh until you cry.

Well recorded. Touching stories with a bit of humor.

I had heard one of the stories read on mtpr. and loved it; the book's other stories were ok.

A friend turned me on to Donald Davis and his story-telling. I am hooked! His stories remind me so much of my growing up in Virginia and getting to know my paternal relatives. I listen to them in the car. His tales are enthralling. Some people must think I am crazy when I laugh out loud as I am driving down the road.

Donald Davis is wonderful at storytelling. Listening for the crack of dawn will always be my favorite. Thank you for offering this cd.

I read this aloud to my junior high students many years ago. I thought about several events in the story and the dramatic ending so many times that I bought my own copy. Hard to believe that it's not true. Great story teller.

DO NOT MISS This - tender, funnier than anything I have read - reminiscent -- fabulous book!

Great stories. This book met all my expectations. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes family stories.
