I’ve used it to chop dried mint and basil leaves. The results are fine and very consistent. The grind is about the same as commercially prepared herbs. The only problem I had was with basil that wasn’t completely dried. It wrapped around the shaft and really gummed it up. But it was easily disassembled and cleaned. It makes me wonder how it would do on fresh herbs.Prior to this I used a rotary blade chopper that you wheeled around on a cutting board. I like this new grinder much better: easier to use, more consistent results, and far more durable.
