I haven't written any reviews in long time, but I did want to take some time to tell others that may be on the fence about buying generic water filters. My water filter ran out on my three door whirlpool fridge and after looking at the prices decided to take a gamble. So far everyone is impressed, the water is clear and it's tasty. Well I guess it really depends on how much you think water is tasty. But we're impressed, and we have not seen any floaters like we did when we tried to stretch the filter that came with the fridge. I would recommend this one. I haven't tried any of the less expensive ones. I figured I would go with the middle of the road, and I lucked out. Not as cheap as some of the others but not nearly as expensive as the recommended one for my fridge.

I usually hate trying to replace any filter for any appliance because there is no standard among the many manufacturers. Means a fair amount of research. In this case, I found the right filter immediately on Amazon, it got shipped within two days, and easily replaced the old one in my Whirlpool refrigerator. Nice, clear, good tasting water from this filter. And, the price was more than reasonable. Will continue to use them.

Easily installed in our Kitchen Aid refrigerator this filter is head and shoulders above the last one. The water flow is stronger and the taste excellent. The previous filter, also ordered through Amazon, had weak water flow. Hopefully this one will last a full 6 months.

I am so happy that I found the best replacement water filter for my Kitchen Aid! The price was right, installment was a breeze, and I am impressed with the strong flow of water when filling a glass/bottle. There is no dripping either. I plan to stick with Freshflow No. 4 for any future replacement cartridges. It works better than any other I have used. I recommend it!

I went the many brands and this one is a winner. Great taste and great value.I have an older Amana refrigerator so they don’t sell them through Amana. Our family of 5 goes through a lot of water and 5 months in it’s still tasting great!

Good filter but be sure to fill it with water before installing it so it can purge itself of air which effect its operation. But that's a normal think with a filter anyway.

Easy to install replacement for the #4 water filter in our Maytag refrigerator.The filtered water was cloudy at first but after 3 glasses of water, it was completely clear and tastes fine.

It was delivered almost immediately, which my dh appreciated. This replacement filter fit our refrigerator and my dh had no problems installing it. The fridge electronics recognized it (gotta love that stuff). It is doing what is supposed to do, filter the water.

Arrived quickly, easy to install, product came packaged well, no damage. Love that the price is $15 less than what I have paid for other filters for my fridge. Works great, increased my water flow, water tastes great. You do have to run some water through the filter and pour it out before drinking the water, but I do that with every filter I have bought. Will definitely purchase again!

Always look for NFS approval on a water filter and this one had it. More than the bargain brands but it works well and most importantly the water taste great and believe me I've tried cheaper ones and threw them out. Only problem I have is, the price went up 7 dollars in the last 6 months so I may look at other NFS approved filters in the future if the price is going to continue to rise.

Pre soaked it for an hour, than ran about 20 liters (about 5 Gallons) of water, thank god my fridge can calculate the amount of water it pours. Water seemed to come out much faster, thats all I can ask for.

This is the second time purchasing this filter. The first time we purchased, we saw good flow rate for a very long time. This last purchase, the filter clogged (or something) within the first 2 weeks and now the flow rate is insufferable. The fridge make some terrible noises while dispensing water a few times (like reverb from water flow restriction through the filter) then the flow rate became bad.I do not want to purchase this brand again to only get 2 weeks worth of good water flow. Beware!

I bought 4 of these filters. So far I have installed 1 out of 4. Good quality, good price and seals correctly but not the right size in terms of length (installed on a KitchenAid fridge). The filter is a few millimeters short from being a perfect fit. Had to put a piece of cardboard at the end of the filter to prevent the filter cover from snapping open (due to the weight of the filter) and having the filter hang down.good product but not perfect!
