Upcycled Cookies, Crispy Non-GMO & Nut Free, Snack Cookies Baked with Upcycled Okara Flour, Fancypants Baking (Chocolate Chip, 6 Ounce (Pack of 6))

The product arrived in tact, which was super nice because no one orders cookie crumbs on purpose. They're made with a soy flour and, full disclosure, I actually started to find that more appealing than the traditional recipe. It turns out to be slightly sweeter than normal and that was a welcome surprise. I've had other Upcycle brand cookies (fyi, Irish creme are straight fire) and these did not disapppint one bit.

I've been buying cookies from this company - Fancypants - for about 10 years. The cookies have become smaller, and with less chocolate. This latest version "Upcycled" is one of the worst cookies I've ever tasted. The "okara" flour is a tasteless leftover from soy pulp, and to say they're "chocolate" chip is false advertising. You cannot even taste the chocolate. Amazon didn't want them back, so I discarded them.

Let me start by saying I do not like okra, like not even a little bit. However, given the reviews I read I took the chance, and I am glad I did. These taste like cookies, I gave them to my husband and children as well, we all agreed they are rather good. My husband said they taste like cookies you can get out of the vending machine. Whatever the case they are tasty.

I wasn't quite sure how I'd feel about these, but they are really good. They have a slightly different texture due to the different flour. Kind of like oatmeal cookies, it actually reminds me of oatmeal a lot. No bad aftertaste. Kids really like them too.
