Flexhead Adjustable Wrench, 10" to 12" Ratcheting Crescent Wrenches with Retractable Extension Shank and 180⁰ Rotating Head

I needed a crescent wrench with a head I could turn 90deg; the ratchet was an added feature about which I entertained serious doubts... Well, the ratchet is great, works like a charm, and saves a lot of aggravation removing and repositioning the wrench after every quarter turn in tight corners. The pivoting aspect work well too, but it does not really lock in position, which limits its applicability. For the price, though, it can't be beat -- it's well made and finished, solid, and, thanks to is small size, perfect for untightening and tightening nuts on water lines under a sink and other such tasks in tight quarters and at weird angles.

I wanted something that could get into obscure places - like under the sink and under the hood - and this 8 inch affordable wrench not only has a rotating handle, but a ratcheting feature as well. I tried it right out of the box and was pleasantly surprised how easily it worked. It is now going to be my go-to wrench for tight spaces.The wrench jaws are 9 to 13 mm thick and the outside assembly appears to be strong. I can not see the spring inside the ratchet nor the inside locking mechanism, so hopefully these parts are made of strong rust-proof materials.The description says the wrench is made from chrome vanadium steel. There are several different alloy formulations it would be nice if the manufacturer would identify which alloy they use.

I don't regret the purchase but it's probably one of the lowest quality tools I own. The adjustable handle is total junk and gets jammed up constantly, usually won't lock when you want it to and stays completely unlocked when you do. The ratcheting mechanism works a lot better than other ratcheting crescent designs i've used but only expect it to work half the time and only on large nuts.

Used the pliers to get underneath my kitchen sink to tighten the faucet. Not enough room between the sink bowl and cabinet wall for a six-inch crescent wrench. The flexible handle allowed me to get in and tighten the nut. With a little patience, you will eliminate the plumber’s bill.

I have never written a bad review without offering to a correction if I could find one. Many times I have received bad product but it was due to just the one I received being of poor quality and I can often exchange and receive a better one the next go round. I intended to buy this wrench for the ratcheting action alone. The fact that it was a flex-head was a bonus to me. I have several different versions of adjustable wrenches. Many of them Crescent branded that are tried and true. I have bought major brands like Craftsman, Kobalt and others with good success. What I disliked most about this wrench was the absolutely terrible quality of every part of it. I was actually surprised at how bad it was. I was willing to tolerate minor imperfections and the like. Not everything is perfect. Sometimes, if what I purchased is designed well and just needs a few tweaks, I will figure out a way to re-build it somewhat and keep it. The quality of build, design and parts, of the one I received was so bad, in every area, that I was simply unable to use it. I felt that if I put it on a bolt and turned it, it would just come apart. I was shocked and I will not buy one like this again. Sorry to say folks, that if I had it to do over again, I would never have purchased this one. Please save your money and do not make the same mistake I did with this one. I am in the process of returning it now.

my daddy is quite the handiman around the house, and he is constantly on the lookout for tools that he doesn't have in his arsenals. A++++++++

I had to return it as it was too big to fit underneath my bath fittings. Probably useful for other chores but not for tight spaces.
