Beautiful story and sweet, memorable words. It is really poetry and engages my toddler and myself alike.

My four-year-old granddaughter can't get enough of this book! She is a sun-drenched, beach-loving Cali girl, but this "snow story" really has her captivated! Good writing and child-friendly, cozy, reassuring theme; highly recommend!

This was a gift for a three year old. It is beautifully illustrated and definitely brings back memories.

The art in this book is stunning. It perfectly depicts a moonlit winter night and all the fun that can take place there. And the story is simple and poetic. Warm and cozy and loving.

Absolutely adorable book. Had never heard of it, but we stumbled across this at our local bookstore and after flipping through and seeing the beautiful artwork, we had to bring it home. It features a charming story about a special family night outside after the power goes out. My 3 year old was mesmerized from the first reading. She loves to look for the moon in the sky and loves snow, so this book is perfect for her. We have lots of books with popular current themes-- not wandering far from home, wandering far from home, accepting everyone, being yourself in the face of adversity, championing feminism... All wonderful in their own ways, too. But this book is just different. No moral lesson being taught necessarily, unless you want to examine what a family who knows how to unplug can find to do when the power goes out, and what nighttime nature has to appreciate on a snowy night. It's just simple and depicts people having fun. Who can't get behind that?
