Our nine year old says it is just as great as the first game, but with even more characters!
Our (then) eight year old son got the first game for Christmas. His birthday was in April, and as he loved the first game so much, we thought we'd get him the second, despite a few mixed reviews on here. Summary: we're incredibly glad that we did.He was delighted when he saw what it was (he didn't know that there was a second game, always a bonus!), and now that he is several hours into the game the reality has entirely matched with his expectation. He loves the gameplay, loves the range of levels, and particularly loves the incredible range of new characters he can play as. I think that Rocket Raccoon is the current favourite, but there are many great additions.I have asked him and he loves it every bit as much as the first one. I have played both with him and I'd say that the gameplay is equally good across the two, and the second game still throws in plenty of humour to make me chuckle while I'm button bashing.We own a few Lego games (we have four kids) and this one sits very happily among them. The kids switch between Star Wars, Harry Potter and this with equal enthusiasm. Highly recommended for any fan of the Lego games.

fun little game to play unlocking the charaters is a pain though and time consuming so i gave up never did get em all but fun to play short term

Another Great lego game
What can I say its lego and the game is hours and hours of fun for the children and there's plenty to achieve in the game and it's 2 player. Worth the money for the content of play.

Great game, would recommend
Got this as a gift for my girlfriend and she loves it.I often play it with her (it's our gaming thing) and the only issue I have is the few glitches in the game that can stop level progress (Required items not appearing, doors not opening etc...) but, with the amount going on in each level, this doesn't surprise me and reminds me of the glitch in the first Lego Harry Potter that happened when you kill one of the teachers (yes, I was a nightmare in that game) and it stops you getting the 100%Overall, I think I liked the first one more but, this is far better than the Lego Avengers game!

Pink bricks formally red
If your a Lego game fan you won’t be disappointed. I have played almost all Lego games. They are all very similar I’m the format with the plot. However in this game it’s slightly different, previous once completing a level you then unlock the area for that level. It does this but to obtain the pink bricks (not red this time) you need to complete further tasks to gain entry to the pink brick areas. I found this a good idea. Parental controls can be granted if required. The shoot me ups as always against other Lego characters but no gore/blood etc. The graphics are bright and clear. I have also found this game isn’t as buggy as previous games crashing etc so far it’s been a smooth run.
