Very, extremely noisy
I mean the whole house is shaking noisy. Our previous pump was nothing like this. If I had known its this noise level I would never had bought this.

Great pump that worked eventually
I bought this as it was a direct replacement for my discontinued salamander pump (RSP75). Its a twin pump that services the whole of my house i.e. hot and cold water. When I replaced the old leaking one, everything was fine other than when the taps were turned off, the pump was continually 'hunting'. This means it was starting, stopping, starting etc continually. I read online about all the issues with hunting (there are lots) and I was at a dead loss reading all of the details re positive / negative heads etc as I am just a Mr Average DIYer and given it was a direct replacement I couldn't understand why any of those things would be relevant to me. In case the same happens to you, I found that the way to stop it was to slightly close the cold water inlet coming from the cold water tank in my loft. This reduction in pressure sorted my problem. I never found this as a resolution online or in the Salamander FAQs - was just pot luck really. Otherwise all was good and it is quieter than the pump it replaced.
