Nushine Silver Plating Solution 50ml - permanently plate PURE SILVER onto worn silver, brass, copper and bronze (eco friendly formula)

I used this to re-plate the brass base of a trophy where some of the original silver had been stripped away while removing an old engraving. I was deeply skeptical that there was an alternative to electroplating, and assumed this would be a scam product I would have to return. I was amazed that it worked perfectly and very easily, producing a shiny silver surface in seconds. As described, the product initially blackens, and then the silver adheres to the metal as you keep rubbing. It is kind of miraculous. Shake the bottle well before use, I think the silver is in suspension somehow, and definitely wear gloves.

Wanted to re-plate my old copper-plated candle sticks, which showed heavy 'bleeding'. However, was not sure about the effect so tried it on a brass-plated server first. After a lot of elbow grease and using abt. 1/3rd of the bottle, nothing had happened, also not on a brass sugar spoon, very disappointing! Then decided to put some of the solution on and old copper penny, and that worked! Felt more confident to use it on my candlesticks then, but tried the bobeche first, which came up very nicely. Worked my way round both candlesticks and they look absolutely beautiful again. Very pleased with the result, so a big thank you to Nushine!! First pic shows the original colour, 2nd pic is half the foot done, 3rd pic is after treating it completely. They are ready for next Christmas! Tip off to prevent over-polishing silver/plate items: if you don't use your plated silver/silver much, after cleaning/polishing then put items in a zip bag, push the air out and close the bag. Items will not turn black for a long time and is ready for use. That's what I do with my candlesticks.

Fantastic! I tried it out straight after it arrived, and the results are extraordinary. My well-used old plated tea and coffee pots are now shining silver again and are spotlessly beautiful. No sign of all the brown spots where the silver plating had worn off. I am very impressed and already recommend this product to my daughter.

I followed all the instructions but it made absolutely jo difference to the silver plated collar that needed resilvering on my decanter.

Hmmm ... well ... it doesn't last too well at all. It goes on really quickly and buffs up well so I had great hopes. I used it on ring I wear for arthritis as I didn't like the copper showing through the silver. It started rubbing off very quickly. I feel it might be great for ornaments and display items but not good for rings that are on hands always busy and in and out of water. Shame.

Some of my costume jewellery has started looking worn and tired but rather than throw it out I thought I’d see if there was a way to revive it instead. I found this product and decided to give it a try as it said it was suitable for heavily worn areas. I’ll be honest, I didn’t hold out much hope for my charm bracelet as the base metal was showing through all the way along it but thought this was going to be a good test to see how the product would perform. Armed with a pair of latex gloves and a few balls of cotton wool (not supplied) I followed the easy to understand instructions on the side of the bottle on how to apply the product. My heart sank a little to start with as I couldn’t see much difference but after just a couple more applications I had a silver coloured bracelet again. I’m quite chuffed with my first attempt and as the photos show, it has really transformed the bracelet. Time will tell how durable it is but for now I am very happy with the results and would happily recommend this product.
