Matchmaker Riverboat - Matchstick Kit

This was my first and I truest enjoyed every moment of the build.

Good to have project to do during lookdown.

All in all good kit but the small bottle of PVA is nowhere near enough not a problem do as I did get next day delivery of a large bottle and keep topping up the small bottle also invest in a cutting tool for all of the half and odd cuts you have to make. The instructions are in places hard to understand but if look at the picture's it all come together I also did some things different like the hand rails and added some benches and made a small shaped flag etc, another thing I done when having to bend quite a lot of matches, with a craft knife where you want the bend to be cut a little v shape then gently bend to desired angle hope this helps now starting my next model the steam engine

I'm still building it as its intricate. I'm sure it will look good once completed

He loves these type of models, uses full range of his motor skills and can put down and start when need.

I couldn't help comparing this kit with one Ipurchased some time ago produced byMatchmaster. In that kit, the plans andinstructions were a lot clearer, with fullsize lined diagrams showing the lay of thematches. A match-cutter was also included in the price. With a thorough understanding of the various stages tho'an accurate model should result.
