I have used these for many years now, when I was in industry, since the first came out, and I remember the rep cleaning a 1p piece and it looked like a newly minted one !Their use is virtually limitless for cleaning metal, but if you are allergic to fibre glass, like me, just be careful where the excess fibre 'bits' go I use a small paintbrush to clean that away rather than brushing it away with my hand and I do wear surgical (ir rubber) gloves too. and I would suggest that you do too even if you aren't allergic.Of course to need the 'pencil to use these in and of course there are alternative tips, brass and steel, for other uses but I use these glass fibre one the most by far.They are a good price and they last a long time really too.

I bought these to clean up metal detecting finds, they do the job but they snap easily and consequently each replacement wears down very quickly.

Good refills for fiber glass cleaning pens, I use alot of them, these seem to have a harder resin than the last ones I got, it helps for really dirty or corroded spots but found I needed to soften them up first before using on a fine surface as it was quite hard and scratchy. You could brush away gold plate or a circuit trace if not softened first. (Soften by using it on a piece of sanded wood first).
