I can't give an absolute timeline but I can say this STOPS and seems to CURE heartburn. I probably took it for 2-3 months before i realized i had not had 1 heartburn event during that time. I was convinced that PPI's would not cure my problem. And long term results of using PPI's were not something i wanted (like stomach cancer). Now i use a packet about 3 times per week. I also added pro and prebiotics to my diet. I eat and drink what i want with NO PROBLEM. Good luck!!!
