OFM ESS Collection 2-Drawer Office Desk, Brown

Nice pretty easy to assemble. Only issue is that it was a bit wobbly when I put it together but I was able to fix it just fine. Also the wood pieces are quite fragile and chipped pretty easy but I got this desk for around 70 so you get what you paid for. Any more than 100 I would’ve returned the desk tbh. Overall not bad if you’re looking for something decent and affordable

Overall I like this desk, however it had a major flaw. It was not packaged well and as a result there were some damaged parts. The damage on larger parts was going to be hidden, to I decided to build the desk anyway. The drawer bottoms (some kind of reinforced paper) were badly damaged however. They are basically just reinforced paper with a printed veneer on them. My fix was to cover them in packing tape to hold them together, but I am disappointed in what I tried first. I contacted Amazon about the damage and what they wanted to do was have me disassemble the entire desk and send it back. Then they would send me a replacement. Another option was to buy and advance replacement and wait for a refund. We are talking about a large heavy box here, not something easy to send back. I decided to reach out to the manufacturer instead because clearly it would make sense for them to have parts available. Nope, they suggested that I return the desk to Amazon as well. It is annoying that I could not get a couple of cardboard pieces 12x15 inch or so sent to me to replace the damaged parts. At this point I was also unwillling to disassemble the desk and take all the parts to the UPS store to send back. Overall the desk is nice although and perfectly sturdy, but if yours arrives in a damaged box don't hesitate to send it back right away.

I searched extensively online for the right desk for my space, which is very limited. This desk was exactly the right measurements. I pored over the reviews and was concerned about some that said it was very difficult to put together, that it arrived damaged, parts were missing etc. But most reviews were positive so I decided to take a chance on it. My desk arrived in perfect shape and while it took a while, it was not difficult to put together (I've put together IKEA furniture in the past). All pieces were accounted for and none broke while I was assembling the desk. It's sturdy enough and a good value for the cost. The color is a very, very dark brown but it could pass for black which is what I preferred (the metal supports are black). The drawers are not deep but they're fine for my needs. As far as putting it together, I would recommend becoming familiar with all the parts before you begin, matching them up with the diagrams, it'll make it a lot easier. I'm very happy with this desk. it's perfect for me.

I love this desk. Very simple and straightforward, and great value for the money. I have several "espresso" pieces of furniture from Ikea, and this is the slightest bit browner than the Ikea espresso color, but I don't have the desk next to any of those and you can't tell from a few feet. Desk surface does have a "wood" (kind of sort of?) texture to it, so you can't write with a single sheet of paper, but it's not a problem for a notepad or notebook.Plenty of space for my desktop computer and accessories, plus a lamp and still space to write. Pretty slim (depth-wise), so it doesn't protrude into the room very much, which is nice. Not solid wood, but covered particle board. Would probably scratch easily - I have a few wooden magazine holders I use as desk organizers and I'm going to glue some felt to the bottom to prevent scratches.Feels sturdy enough; perfect for studying. Probably can't withstand serious shaking - I am a hobby sewer and I wouldn't use it for my industrial-duty machine. I didn't use the glue included with the building materials in case I decide to disassemble it once I'm done with school, but it hasn't affected its sturdiness.Verrrry easy to assemble; I don't understand the reviews saying that it was difficult, confusing, or that the hardware broke on them. Took me less than an hour to assemble by myself (52 minutes... timed it for the review!). Yeah, the hardware isn't all made of the strongest steel - don't force it and be deliberate about making sure it's in the right spot. There are extra pieces included (see photo), so don't freak out if you've put it all together and there's still pieces left! Also, extra pieces is another reason nobody needs to get too worked up about one of the little twisty anchors or a peg breaking.

I took me about an hour to put it together I thought it was going to be too hard to do but I was able to and I love it, it’s simple but nice with two drawers for my school supplies

I would give this desk 6 stars if I could. Unfortunately, I have quite a bit of experience with assemble-at-home furniture and most of it has not been good. I was definitely apprehensive about this purchase based on some of the reviews that I read and my prior "experiences." This desk, on the other hand, was much different. It is much more complicated than any piece that I have ever put together but the engineering is very impressive (everything fits) and the directions are pretty straightforward. They even include extra hardware (that has never happened before). The assembly came together without a hitch. Advice: Lay all of your parts out and match them to the parts list (it's OK to make notes on the instructions). Inventory your hardware. Before you take anything out of the pack, determine where it is used in the assembly process. Read through the instructions....more than once. Become comfortable with them and the orientation of the pieces as represented in the instructions. Don't get in a hurry. Be patient and take your time. Go in stages. For the price this is a great looking, well-engineered piece of furniture. I am highly pleased with this purchase.

This desk is just what I was looking for. It has plenty of surface space but does not eat up the room. The drawers slide nicely and you can tell it is a quality product as you are assembling it. The finish on the top is nice and seems like it will be resistant to spills and messes. Highly recommend!
