I’m a marine engineer – 52 – and despite having worked in possibly the most noisy environment possible which is the engineroom on a ship, my hearing is still very good. A far cry from some of the men I first went to sea with who never used hearing protection.Bottom line is that using protection is well worth the effort and once you get used to it, it becomes second nature to use.In my professional career I use Peltor H10 muffs because they are as good as it gets. Reasonable priced and gives much better sound reduction than any other type I’ve used.But these come close. Really.I bought these for use at home in my workshop and when doing renovation work because there isn’t much use in protecting my hearing only part of the time.In use they are very effective and to be honest I would have no issue using these regularly in a ship’s machinery space. They are very good at cutting out sound in particular the high-pitched part that kills your hearing.Comfortable to use for extended periods of time – once you get used to the idea of something firmly clamped to your head.And they do clamp firmly which might take a bit of getting used too. However, in my considerable experience, having ear muffs that are a bit low in clamping pressure do let in too much noise. You have to seal off your lug holes properly for them to work.Which also brings me to the slight negative. When they arrived the spring tension had forced the soft cups together – obviously for a long time – to such an extent that it took a few days and a bit of warm air to get the soft foam to expand back out. It would have been far better to have transported them with the cups facing out to prevent this.Quality is very good on a par with the likes of Peltor so no worries there. The size is similar to Peltor H10 muffs as well so quite large which, is unavoidable if you want to have good protection.Overall, a superior ear muff that works well, is comfortable in use and I personally feel is suitable for even the noisiest environments which I work in.

I got these headphones so I could focus at work, these headphones excel at that.I'm sensitive to sharp and loud sounds and these take the noise level down so far It's improving my lip reading. I can hear my eyelids when I blink, the little movements in my mouth and when my elbows are on my desk I can hear taps and scratches from my colleagues. It's made my environment a lot less stressful. my only recommendation is to slow your breathing down if the quiet starts to feel claustrophobic and close your eyes when taking them off to deal with the increase in noise.

Bought as a gift for my husband after the arrival of our (very noisy) first baby. It was meant as a joke present, but these have actually been useful for taking the edge off those times when the baby cries for a while at top volume right in your ear! They obviously don't eliminate the sound completely, but bring the volume down so that you get less stressed while you're comforting the baby. They are comfortable to wear for short periods and fit my husband and me, so seem to adjust well to different sized heads. My friends think it's funny but we've found these invaluable!

I am a very serious hobby woodworker and maker in general. I manage about 80 hours a month in the workshop so after my last ear defenders started to break I decided to give these a go....Not much to say about ear defenders they either work or they don't and these work very well to keep the noise from my workshop machines down and protect what hearing I have left.I have a fairly large head and ears but these easily fit my head and my ears fit comfortably inside each cup with no problems and I have worn them for an hour plus at any one time with no problems so very comfortable.They appear to be strong and should hold up to the abuse it will receive in my workshop so I am hopeful in regards to longevity but will update this review in the future should there be any issues so if you are reading this then so far so good.Considering the price paid these are excellent value for money. Very impressed and would recommend to anyone that needs good quality hearing protection when using machinery.

I use these so I can write while my husband watched TV and I've found them to be great. they don't block out all the sound, but muffles it to a point where I don't notice. I've also found that my concentration is so much better without all the peripheral noise in the background.

Bought these for my husband as he works in a large noisy yard, these were very good value compared to other products available but still brilliant quality, he is really pleased with them. They certainly block a lot of noise and can be worn comfortably for a long time.We like the way they retract nice and compact so can be put into a bag without taking up much room. The build quality is good, the plastic ear prices are really tough and sturdy, not at all flimsy!I’d say the size is quite universal too as they expand, our 4 year old has tried them on and they fit just as well for him as for the adults! So I’ll be taking them for the kids at the next noisy event!

Very comfortable to wear and it is make of light weight plastic. I have drilled in concrete to put in wall plug and used my chop saw to cut some timber, all the high pitch noise is gone.I could still hear some low frequency noise but over all it is doing a fantastic job. It is easy to use and once adjusted it fit snug on my head, bending over work bench the ear protector does not falls down.I have a relative big head and just pull the ear piece down and it fit my head perfectly.Your hearing is worth every but for the price.

Good product, I can hear people around me, which isn’t ideal. But it definitely lowers there voice. I thought theyd be great- as I’m very noise sensitive but I have to wear my AirPods with them for it to be where I need it to be. But it’s not comfortable with wearing the AirPods aswell.Could be a lot worse.
