Great iron, stupid cable.
I like Antex irons, I have 4 at the moment. The problem is the cables. Far too thick and stiff. The cable on this 25w iron is the same diameter as my 2400w fan heater. Usually end up changing the cables for something more flexible.

Works Well
I've had several Antex products over the years and at this price point they are hard to beat, personally, I think they are better all round than their nearest Weller equivalents.

Does the job well
Decent soldering iron and the tip provided is still going strong but do put a little solder on the tip after every use I wouldn’t know how much use you would get out the tip if you didn’t.

Useless holder
I had left my soldering kit behind and purchased this as a stopgap solution. Antex has been my preferred brand of soldering iron for over 30 years and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed. The older versions had removable hooks to secure them, this has gone and been replaced with an awful flimsy stand which is not fit for purpose because it cannot even accommodate the stiffness of the mains lead. On first use the iron jumped out of the stand fell to the floor and burned a hole in my dogs’ new bed which was unfortunately beside my work bench and had cost more than twice as much as the soldering iron. Thankfully no dog was in it at the time. I have now retrieved my soldering kit and will be selling this one on simply because it cannot be secured properly which makes it a hazard.

A great soldering iron that is an order of magnitude better ...
Echoing what others have said here. A great soldering iron that is an order of magnitude better than the raft of cheap irons I have bought over the years which have all just stopped working. This iron makes DIY soldering soooo much easier than the cheaper ones.I shall note that the tip is not compatible with the tips of previous irons I have had (which side into the iron). This one sides over the iron.My only gripe, and it is quite a large one, is that the iron is very light in weight meaning the cable is able to drag the iron around when in use. Although not the end of the world it is a PITA when attempting intricate soldering work. I believe Antex sell another similar iron with a silicon cable that doesn't have this issue, although is abit more expensive. Worth it? Probably, if you are are going to use it any more than occasionally. With the exception of the light iron/heavy cable issue - a great iron and I wish I'd bought one sooner.
