RUSKCOLORx COLOR CARE Sulfate-Free Shampoo

I color my hair every month so I need shampoo that will help keep my color to stay and not fade it easily. So far I feel like this shampoo has done that. I feel like it’s gentle, yet effective at making my hair feel clean. It smells very nice, almost florally, but isn’t too strong. My hair feels soft and comes out very luminescent when using this. It rinses out nicely and doesn’t leave any residue.I like the pump dispenser and feel like it’s easy to get just the right amount of product out. It is a bit pricey, but if it works well enough to keep color, then it’s worth it.

I ordered the unscented RUSK COLORx Shampoo in the "Unscented" scent, and when it arrived I could smell the perfume through the bag (a little spilled out during shipping). Low and behold, half way through the very long ingredient list... there was the perfume. While the scent is fairly strong, it is not unpleasant and is actually quite refreshing, but when I order an unscented product, I expect it to not come with perfume in it. A little disappointing, but I still used it regardless.In terms of my color, I haven't noticed any extreme fading occurring, which is very nice! I have both permanent color and direct dye on my hair, so I am getting a good sense of how both react to this. Fading is inevitable with dying your hair, and I have been fairly impressed with the longevity of my color thus far using this shampoo.Beyond that I didn't notice any other big differences in my hair, it's soft and manageable and the color is holding strong. I would purchase this again for the price point, I think it's a good more affordable option when looking for quality dye safe shampoos.

This isn’t my first product from Rusk and it definitely won’t be my last! I’m generally pretty happy with anything I get from the brand and this RUSK RUSK COLORx SHAMPOO is no exception.It lathers well and you don’t need a ton of product to shampoo your hair, and that’s even true with me who has hair nearly down to her buttocks. It also has a light scent that isn’t to strong and doesn’t give me a migraine which I appreciate.As far as results go, it doesn’t seam to be stripping my pretty freshly dyed hair and does add some shine as well. I do now have both the shampoo and conditioner and it works much better when you use both. I had the shampoo first and I definitely recommend getting both. While the shampoo works good on its own the combo together leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy.

This has made my brittle color damaged hair feel so much softer! I'm amazed. Love it so much I added it to my cart. Definitely worth the try.

The most important for me when I am choosing a shampoo is the absence of sulfates. Sulfates may strip away too much moisture, leaving the hair dry and unhealthy. They may also make the scalp dry and prone to irritation. So this is my number 1 requirement for hair products. "No sulfates" is a go for me.The scent is very mild and the structure of the shampoo is thick, which I like.I feel my hairs are silky soft, smooth, and shiny after using RUSK ColorX Shampoo, almost the feeling I have after a beauty saloon procedure.Now, when I tried this shampoo, I am definitely ready to order their mask and conditioner.

I did order this because I wanted to see if I could get glossier glass like hair. The texture of this shampoo is nice. My hair is fine, long, and color treated. I didn’t notice any product build up. I like the rectangular packaging because it easily sits on the shower shelf. I liked the results from using this shampoo. It’s a good shampoo for part of a blowout routine if you’re interested in a glossy look.

I have to start this review by noting that the pump dispenser is just terrible. It only yields a tiny amount of product, so you will find yourself spending some time trying to get this to dispense an adequate amount of shampoo.Also, this is supposed to be unscented. It is not. In fact, the fragrance is quite noticeable and perfumey. So if you are wanting/expecting a truly unscented shampoo, this won't work for you.In terms of results, I can say that it has seemingly helped to keep my hair color from fading as much as it ordinarily would. However, it does leave my hair feeling a bit dry.All things considered, this isn't bad, but it's not as good a product as I'd hoped it would be.

I'm male and color treat my aging hair to partially hide graying. As one would expect, I have some thinning, dryness, and split ends. This RUSK ColorX shampoo seems to leave my hair in nice, heathy condition (combatting the dryness and adding a little body). More importantly, after a couple of trial shampoos, it seems to go easy on my color treatment, not washing it out. I like that. Nice mild herbal scent is pleasing. So . . . the shampoo is worth 5 stars, but the pump dispenser was a hassle. Even after I got it primed and working it dispenses tiny quantities per pump. TIP: To get the pump working initially, grip the lower part of the cap adjacent to the top of the bottle, and unscrew the upper pump section counterclockwise. It should pop up (or you can pull it up to assist). Pump it repeatedly to prime and begin dispensing the shampoo.
