bargain at £26.95 used like new.....
having only paid £26 for this ive used it all week must admit though id be totally miffed if id paid the prices ive seen on here for it, its a brilliant peice when ure doing tapestry , but its not worth the money theyre asking new, it stands fairly well though ive made a few adjustments to the stability , it holds my large frame well in the clamps though i switched them to the outside of the frame i found this much better. i will be buying the quilting hoops for this in time , i found it very easy to put together pictures in the instructions were very clear im a female over 50 with a brain like a hen most days but great peice of kit i love this well done amazon for selling me this at this price i adore a bargain!!!

... it up although not very clear if you are good at flat packs it's not a problem really
Comes with instructions to build it up although not very clear if you are good at flat packs it's not a problem really. Could do with a price drop when you consider it doesn't come as it looks like in the picture and you will need extra accessories

Love it
This stand is perfect solution for me. Having arthritis in my hands and back it's hard to have to hold the project while working on it. Now there is struggle for me to work on my xstitch. Highly recommend.

Not Good With My Q-Snap Frame
I purchased this because I wanted a cross stitch stand to use with my Q-snap frame, but didn't want to invest in the expensive models. Putting it together, the directions were a little vague and certainly not clear, but it was easy to assemble. Once it was together, it looked shaky but was actually relatively stable. It was light, so it was easy to move and all the knobs makes the height and angles simple to adjust to your exact preference. I liked that I could reach the back of my cross stitch by spinning the neck of the stand. It was even easy to use with my couch, though I did have to add a pillow behind my back and under one elbow to get me to a comfortable position for a stitching session. In the end, though, I returned this. It didn't hold my Q-snap frame very well - the frame kept popping out of the clamps and, after about a week, I couldn't get the clamps tight enough to hold the frame firmly. The more I used the stand, the more it interfered with the horizontal tension and it was sort of painful because I had to make sure the clamps on my Q-snap were in the right place so I could close the clamps on the stand. Every few minutes, I had to adjust everything. In short, my frame was never secure in the stand. This might work better for someone using a wooden frame and maybe I didn't know some secret about using it with Q-snaps, but it still went back.

Be careful selecting a frame to go with this stand!
This appears to be a very nice stand. It is well-made and has lots of points where it can be adjusted. We drilled some extra holes in the risers in order to give it even more height adjustment options. HOWEVER, on the Amazon site, it says, "frequently bought together," which pairs the stand with a set of "Handi-Clamp" scroll bars made by the same company. I ordered them as suggested by Amazon, but found to my dismay, that they are not the correct frames for this floor stand. In other words, the clamps with the floor stand do not fit the frame. They don't tighten sufficiently to hold the frame in place. The customer service rep at the company suggested all sorts of cobbled 'make it work' suggestions, all of which would probably have resulted in the clamp breaking before the completion of a canvas. We managed to make a shim but it's disappointing, considering the price of the stand. What is needed are split scroll bars which are designed to fit in the clamps on the floor stand. You can see them on the manufacturer's website. It would be so much easier if they used universally-sized components on all their frames.

A stitchers dream!
This frame stand is just what I was looking for! Assembly was just under 30 minutes and the directions were easy to follow. I move my work around the house and our deck. The stand is light weight and very sturdy withstanding the movement. My husband suggested I add the small clamp. The clamp allows rotating the upper portion to allow access to the back of the f my work. The small clamp is NOT part of the frame kit and can be purchased at any big box store.
