I have RO water in convenient places.
I've had this for nearly a year. I wanted to wait this long because you never know how long an electric pump might last. The machine is still going strong. Water taste is good. I can definitely tell its removing hard water, chlorine, etc. even better than good fridge filters. I chose this because standard RO systems that hook up to your sink usually have large 5 gallon tank. With the plumbing the way it is under my sink the tank doesn't fit.PROS1. The unit has UV light for killing viruses. This is actually something you don't get with traditional setup.2. The taste is pretty good. I usually drink water from fridge which has good filters. I use the RO water for tea and coffee where hard water stains would buildup.3. The digital TDS reading is another nice-to-have.4. The rubber feet are amazing if you need something that doesn't slide around. I put it on sliding pad so I can easily turn it around to refill the tank. That allows me to tuck it way back under cabinets.5. Easy setup. Insert filter, plug it in, fill water tank.CONS1. Sometimes it doesn't fill the correct number of ounces. It's rare. I'm talking about after flushing routines and when the internal reservoir had time to fill.Suggestions for improvement1. The common 4, 8, 16, 32 oz options are mostly good enough. My morning routine is 24 oz coffee though. I have to use the 8 oz then cycle to the 16 oz after to get the amount I want. Minor inconvenience but it can definitely can be improved with a numpad so I can select exact desired amount.2. I'd like to see a front removable water tank so I don't have to spin it around to fill.

Convenient, but does leak within 3 months...*WITH UPDATES
First, the installation and the convenience of having a countertop dispenser is amazing. We had read several reviews on various dispensers and decided to bite the bullet with this one and just try. It was going great until the 3rd month of use. We have been having leaking problems CONSTANTLY. I know there were a few reviews regarding this issue, but seeing how most of the buyers/reviewers had great things to say that's why we decided to keep it. We did reach out to customer support and we are still waiting to hear a response about leaking and if there's any assistance they could provide. It's a shame...because it seems like a high quality product with decent pricing but it's not worth it if it's not working.Pros: Easy, convenient installation with zero plumbing...if I could set it up anyone can!Cons: LEAKING in the first three months and amazon only gives a few weeks to test it out and you can't return after that returning period. I had to reach out to the waterdrop customer support and have yet to receive a response. Will update if I hear anything back.UPDATE:So I have been in contact with Carina from customer services and I want to thank her so so so much for helping me out. TLDR, I had a leaking issue with my dispenser but I was able to get a replacement and the replacement is working fine. Admittedly it did take awhile to figure it all out but if you have any issues please just reach out to customer service. Theyโre better at handling problems than Amazon. Amazon is no help at all. When youโre talking to the customer service, make sure to have order details and the dispenser number/id. Anyways, yeah itโs fixed now because I ended up getting a new dispenser but better than having it leak. Thanks again to Carina for their help.

Happy so far
There are many countertop RO systems to choose from with a variety of features and finding the "sweet spot" can be a challenge. I selected the K19 for several reasons. Waterdrop is a recognized brand which matters in a crowded field. The price with coupon was quite good compared to some that are much more expensive. The unit is attractive and quite slim leaving more room on my limited countertop space. It uses only one filter so keeping track of filter life and replacing filters is much simpler. Yes, there is a question as to whether one combined filter is as effective as units with several filters but a youtube review I viewed showed that the water output received a 93% out of 99% purity rating from an independent testing lab so I feel the one filter system is working well. This model also offers the additional benefit of UV purification that many more expensive brands do not. It has a large 170 oz. water tank. With manual filling that is necessary with countertop models , the larger water tank means less frequent filling, a benefit for sure. The K19 also has a built in TDS meter that I find quite accurate. I can see the TDS reading whenever the machine is on and I definitely like that.I find the TDS runs a bit high when drawing a small quantity of water from the machine. However, I now fill a glass pitcher so I can keep the water cold in the fridge and drawing a greater capacity of water significantly lowers the TDS to excellent levels. A few ounces at a time has not worked well for me only in terms of TDS. I also purchased a small appliance tray on Amazon that makes it very easy to slide the machine out from under my low kitchen cabinets to significantly simplify filling the water tank.Lastly, the customer service has been excellent. I get answers to questions very quickly and feel confident that Waterdrop stands behind the product.Overall, I recommend the K19 with no reservations based on the short time I have owned it. I will update the review after a few months of use.
