Bemis 1200SLOWT 160 Slow Sta-Tite Elongated Closed Front Toilet Seat, Euro White

I bought two different brands of toilet seats to replce two older ones.I was not impressed with either. I think you must have a pretty bad seat if you replace it with this and are impressed with it.This one did not come with the usual pads to keep it from slipping. Hmmm, hard plastic against polished ceramic, how could this be an issue? I overcame it with rubber washers I already had.This seat is lesser quality than my previous seat which came with the toilet. The seat itself, felt very plasticy (if that s a word). I said the same thing about the other seat I ordered from a different brand. Yes I knew it was plastic when I ordered it but reviews made it sound like it was pretty solid. I don't share the same.I feel it is important to give real reviews as we can't test things before ordering them.I did not return either seat so if my feeling change, I'll post an update.

We have the elongated (not round) toilets and I’ve had a hard time finding a plastic slow close seat for it. The painted wood type product I purchased before fit great, and was comfortable to use, but the paint stains and wears off easily. This plastic seat doesn’t fit well, and will sometimes shift to the side when sitting down, but it’s easy to clean and I don’t have to worry about the paint coming off so I guess it’s a toss up between the two. The picture shows the fit issue - no, that’s not just because of the photo angle.

Our old Bemis toilet seat was showing signs of wear after 10 years of use. The front edge looked like some plastic had worn off. We decided to replace it, and I ordered a new one online. It arrived, and I just popped it into place (without replacing the hardware which looked fine). Took 30 seconds, and looks like a new toilet!!!

My old seat (1 section) stopped being quiet. I looked on internet to see if it could be repaired, but you had to refill the cylinder with grease - little out of my league for a home maker. So ordered this new one and just snapped it on, since the hardware was already on it for this seat. I did try to use just any seat from my local store, but it did not fit. This Slo-close is more expensive, but in the long run it saved me time and was an easy fix.

When cleaning the toilet, I just unlatch the seat and put it in the shower. Hose it down while the blue stuff cleans the toilet bowl. This is the only model I have seen that is slow close and easily removable for cleaning. It always looks new. Well worth the money.

It fits well, color was correct and it is slow closing. Very lightweight thin lid. If ever used to step on to reach above the toilet , I would be very leery. Not very thick or sturdy. Does not compare to the original but will serve its purpose. Disappointed with the price versus quality, but what do you expect when you shop online?

This came with the incorrect bolt, so it doesn’t fit flush with the hinge and the toilet cannot open all the way. The seat itself is nice but it clearly came with bolts from another model. I don’t know how to contact customer service about this so I hope someone reaches out regarding this.

Seat mounted easily. it's very sturdy but the soft close feature almost completely stopped working after a few weeks.
