DISC Malem Wireless Pants Alarm (Green)

Our six year old is a heavy sleeper and after trying all other recommended options, we took the plunge and decided to try an alarm. She was becoming self conscious too and seemed happy to try something. There seemed to be so many options but what I like about this alarm was that the sensor was wireless to the alarm and I wanted something that was relatively comfortable to wear to get engagement to give it a try. Also having different sounds meant that you couldn’t become used to one particular sound. The clip is a little tricky to attach particularly when groggy in the night but would much prefer this to alarms in sheets where you would need multiple to account for wet nights.So how did it work for us. Well the first few nights she slept through the alarm or stirred only slightly and we had at least 3 changes a night. However by the end of the first week she was waking with a slight accident and then making it to the bathroom. End of week 2 and she was dry. This was back in August and we might get one accident a month. What has been a real positive for us is that she still likes to have a drink just before bed and with the alarm being so effective we haven’t had to cut this out.I can’t comment on whether cheaper alarms would have been as effective for us but what I can say is this was worth it for us and our child’s confidence.

Excellent product. Well made. Discrete, light weight and comfortable. Our first one stopped working within a week. That being said this is very rare and the company immediately sent us a replacement within 24 hours. Good volume alarm with selection of sounds and good range. The only thing I would improve would be to use a USB rechargeable battery in the detection unit as it is pretty power hungry. That said a replacement battery costs £0.60 and lasts 7-10 days. From an environmental point of view the USB would be better. I would recommend the product and cannot daily the service from the company

I was getting a bit worried about whether my daughter would ever be completely dry so purchasing this was a bit of last resort. My daughter is a very heavy sleeper - she doesn't like going to bed but once she's asleep, that's it. Getting her up in the morning is always a struggle. The first month or so I would always hear the alarm before her - and I sleep at the other end of the house! Slowly she began to respond to it. More dry nights and fewer wet ones, then after about 3 months something clicked and she hasn't wet the bed since and that was a year ago. I was so pleased for her. The alarm really seems to help, so thanks Malem.

Less than a month after purchasing this product the wire came off the clip as my son was pulling his pants up, and although I acknowledged that this was our fault and not the manufactures even though the wire and clip had always looked very fragile from day one, so I contacted the manufacturer direct (malem) explained the situation and the best they could offer me was a replacement transmitter £60 plus p+p, when I explained that there was no way the wire would survive attached to the clip for long in the first place, I received a very rude email from a lady named VAL stating that I was obviously lying " as the wire is well connected to the clip and would take a very determined effort to pull it out" never realised how strong my 7 year old was!!!!!!! (Not) I will never do business again with MALEM and agree with another reviewer on this site stating how rude they are so beware!!!!!

Brilliant product. Easy to use. My son is a really heavy sleeper and I wondered if this would really help. My husband slept on a matress in his room every night and would have to wake him when the alarm was going off and he was continuing to sleep through it. He was then happy to take himself of to the toilet. Not only does it make them go to the toilet when they need to, but it trains them to hold the amount of liquid over night. A real transformation in a very short time. Amazed! Trying with our 2nd child now.

I cannot rate this highly enough. My 7yr old son has never had a dry night. He would wet the bed 2-3 times a night. Every night. Tried desmopressin to no avail. Bought this, slept on his floor as recommended and the improvement started after around 5nts. By 10-12 nts he could manage getting up, finishing wee in toilet, resetting alarm himself. Four weeks later he is still wearing the alarm but largely waking himself before it goes off. There have been no wet bed sheets and we are a much happier, less laundry centred family!

Best thing we ever bought for our daughter to become dry at night. She was fully dry within a couple of weeks. Easy to use and comfortable. Alarm was loud enough to wake her and me so I could assist with toileting in the night. Fantastic product, can't fault it.

Used for my 3 and a half year old. We where changing the sheets and covers 3 times a night now about 3 weeks later and he is waking up himself to go to the toilet. It takes time and you have to quick to reach him at the start. But is this the purchase i have made this year. I just wish the cord was a little longer.
