Fantastic value
A few more than I needed but the high ceiling is perfect for the way I grow plants big before I set them out. What you get is amazing, 5 trays, 5 domes, and five sets of seed incubator trays. Clear plastic seed trays are pretty cool to see roots. I tend to transplant little seedlings into bigger pots and, good news, the trays let you squeeze in three 4 inch pots side by side. Very satisfied.

Ad said 2pack
The order came relatively fast. I had ordered the 2 pack or the ad said 2 pack. It ended being a 5 pack and more money. Be aware of the quick pay! Seams like all parts go together but the lid could be sturdier.

Versatile
Have used mine heavily for a couple of seasons both indoors and out. The extra tall 7-inch dome accommodates more options of plants and inserts or containers. The extra pair of vents definitely work as claimed. You can create a sauna under the dome by closing the vents or when all are opened is almost the same as ambient humidity and little or no condensation underneath. This is good when you have foliage on the seedlings and don't need the dome any longer but need protection outside from wind and rain. It seems the 1020 trays are standard but very slightly larger (?) I notice a tiny bit more space when using pots compared to off- the-shelf 1020 trays from the box store. The inserts that come with the kit are truly reusable, but exercise good technique when removing your seedlings/starts, and gently work the root ball away from the sides using the fork tool. Depending on soil mix used and moisture content, pushing from the bottom may crumple the plastic and the root ball won't come out without damage. Don't water for 18-24 hours before planting out so the soil shrinks and firms up a bit for easier removal. Producing 72 x 5 starts in a such small space enabled efficient conversion of the yard to a lawn alternative at very low cost. Have also cloned quite a few trees, shrubs, and perennials in these using standard pots, the extra height under the dome comes in handy. Pretty durable, one withstood being hit with the string trimmer with only a minor chip off the edge of the tray.

Great kit with well partitioned seedling trays.
We bought the "MIXC 5-Pack 1020 Flat Trays with Humidity Dome Germination kit Seed Starter for Microgreens, Soil Blocks, Rockwool Cubes, Wheatgrass, Hydroponic, Fodder Systems, Heavy Duty No Drain Holes" and we are so far pleased with the product. We received all components:5 pcs 1020 flat trays5 pcs 1020 transparent covers30 pcs mini seed trays2 pcs small garden tools10 pcs plant labelsThe quality is good enough to last you a few years, but not forever. Make sure to store it in a not too hot storage between seasons, so that they don't become brittle. Don't get me wrong, the kit is solid but not extremely sturdy. You can carry the trays easily, and they are strong enough to hold the seedling trays, but they won't resist to say.. stepping on them or bending. The mini seedling trays are nice because they give you the flexibility of moving them around in the tray, if you want to get a more even germination or distribution of heat. It's nice that the big green tray has no holes, so you can add water and have the trays absorb water through the bottom. The Flat Tray Covers are very practical. They keep the moisture in during germination, they protect seedlings at night if needed, and they protect seedlings if you plan on taking them out in sun during the day.You also get two garden tools. One of them is to assist in planting the seeds at the proper depth. The second is to assist in removing and/or transplanting the seedlings to say a larger container. Some tip for germination:Use germination mix not soil from garden, unless you had great success in the past with it.Keep germination mix moist but not soaking wet.Plant seeds at recommended depth; some seeds will list the ideal depth, some will list the lowest depth.Keep germination mix/seeds at a constant temperature, ideally 75-80 Fahrenheit. The lower the temperature the slower the germination. Tomato seeds will usually germinate within 5 to 10 days, peppers in 7-12 days.Once the seeds germinate and emerge from the mix move them into a good light source and at about 10 degrees colder than germination. Keep light on for about 14-15 hours a day and make sure the seedlings have 8 hours of dark. If possible keep the temperature 10 degrees lower during the dark (around 60 Fahrenheit)

Convenient and sturdy seed starting trays
In the fall of 2019 I built a greenhouse/garden room under a second story deck that comes out from my garage.the 4 x 4 post that were supporting were used to frame in the three sides I had used six windows that were removed from my house when I got new windows installed.I had two sets of double patio doors that I also use plus a 4 x 6 window that was passed on to me from a friend.I filled the rest of the walls with various sizes of storm windows.I did car siding on the outside and painted and caulked.a rubber roof membrane was laid over the deck above and gutters finished up the outside. I laid wood mulch on the ground inside and bought three 3‘ x 6‘ galvanized steel raised garden beds.so many bags of soil were used to fill the beds I lost count.finally I was ready to plant but by the time all this was done winter was here so the seeds needed to be started inside. I used old trays from a few years back egg cartons and toilet paper rolls I soon realized what a hassle and looked online for something sturdy to start my seeds in.I shopped around for a few days and settled on the mixc seed starting trays with domes. I ordered a set of five and they arrive pretty quickly.not knowing how the quality would be since I was going off what other people had reviewed I was very pleased when I pulled them out of the box.everything that was promised in the description was there.I had a new bag of seed starting soil so I Immediately planted one tray with lettuce seeds and one tray with onions when they sprouted they were set in a sunny window and then under grow lights when it got dark.I love how the seed cells are clear So I can see when to transplant and the dome keeps the sprouts warm and hydrated.plus the domes keep my pesky cats from eating my sprouts.I’m very anxious to get the other trays planted and I’m sure the sturdy seed sprouting trays will last for years. Thanks Mixc for making a great product
