Q: Just want to confirm that the 2.75" or 3" product is proper for a garage door bottom with a real width of 1.25" (assuming the track T size is 5/16")?

My door thick is 1.75". Used 2.75" for small curve. If garage floor has gap at outer edge of the door use 3" for bigger radius and more fill. Also add an inch in length to each side to improve side seal.

Q: My t-ends appear to be 3/8 inches wide. Would the 5/16 T-end on this product be too narrow and slip out of the channel ?

Only 1/16 short of 3/8. Probably not.

Q: What would the wider 3.75 seal be used for? I am not sure what width to order. It's for a brand new Clopay garage door, bottom seal doesnt seal.

The 3.75 is probably your best choice. This measurement is taken from T-end to T-end with the strip in the flat position. The shorter width seal will not allow for proper sealing if there is unevenness or imperfections in your floor.

Reference your garage door opener owner's manual. It could be that the downward travel of your door needs to be re-adjusted because you installed a new weather seal. The downward (and upward) travels are adjustable with screws on the head unit. Try adjusting the downward travel to slightly less that it is now. Start with about ¼ turn of that screw, then test the door to see if it stays closed. Good luck.
