The Best tensioner for my belt drive QuietKat Bandit qkf750
The media could not be loaded. Ive Gone through several different kinds of tensioner assemblies but hands down this is the best most strong one and is made very well. i have the cdx gates belt drive and it holds tension just fine on my hardtail QuietKat QKF 750 Bandit

Needed for BMX
My son's BMX bike was having chain tension issues. We got these and have had no issues since. I didn't completely understand when I bought that this is a complete set for one bike. So if you have two or more bikes you need to buy another set for that bike. Color is true to picture and looks slick.

Works for SS MTB
The media could not be loaded. Recently got a Surly Pugsley and decided to set it up Single Speed. I liked the simplicity of this tensioner. The pugsley has long horizontal dropouts and it fits perfectly. One 3 mile test ride so far (single track, lots of climbs) and the chain held up well!

Instantly broke!
The cir clip broke which I have this chain set at 1/2” tension so it’s not like “oh this guys over tightening it. No no, I’m setting this at half inch at the tightest point on the chain and the cir clip popped off and deformed! Super soft thin cheap metal for the main part that holds all the tension lol. This is the only No name brand in my kids bike I’m building. And this is why name brand like Box, SE, etc. are far superior and cost more for a reason. Lesson learned. These fly by night companies are not putting in enough into testing and materials. Their biggest concern is profit margin. At least feels that way.

Got these today
I hope they're strong enough to what I have planned for them. I have a two-stroke motorized bike. Which I have trouble tensioning the chain off of the motor and getting it set right. So I was looking at these and I thought maybe they'd work. When I got them they seem very light aluminum are some sort of metal the nut and Bolt seem light I think they're 8 mm and the part that pushes onto the frame doesn't look sturdy enough but I won't know till I put them on the bike and try them out. And with all the vibration for my motor I'm wondering if they will loosen up during the rides. So I guess I'll have to put Loctite in there I'll let you know what happens

Be sure to measure your axle
Pros:Easy to install (if you bought the right size for your bike)Works wellAdjustment easyMade my foot pegs easier to installCons:Be sure to measure your axleDon't make my mistake. I assumed all bikes have a standard axle size. They don't. My electric bike's axle was a bit larger. I had to drill out the holes to make them a bit bigger. My mistake, so no stars lost for that.Installation was pretty easy, but I'm also pretty good at working on my bikes. You'll need to remove your bike's rear wheel, slip these on and tighten everything back together. Make sure your tire spins smoothly before any final tightening.Once it's on it's pretty easy to adjust the tension. So far my chain hasn't popped off (it used to pop off a lot) since installing these. One added benefit. My folding foot pegs are easier to install. My old ones were bending. But because the foot pegs attach after the tensioners my pegs no longer sit flush on the bike where they were impeded by a screw. I used to have to cut a hole in my peg to make room for that screw, but now I don't need to adjust anything on the foot peg to install it.

Lightweight and effective
I like the shape, color, and design of these chain tensioners. They are easy to use and add some color to my BMX bike. I don’t like the fact that they didn’t come with a spring washer to prevent them from becoming loose. The Allen key needed to tighten these may be in most garages however, there are probably some people out there that don’t have a set for whatever reason. If these came with a spring washer and an Allen key I’d certainly give this set five stars.
