Cushioned Lapdesk for Laptop & Craftwork Use.

Arrived very fast as I am on Prime.Came in the usual brown package in its own box. Looks very good but the lamp stem seemed loose.Unfastening the zip partway on the cushion found the box for the batteries. You need AA batteries which do not come with the item.I puzzled greatly over how to open the box and then decided to slide the lid holding the sides of the lid but it was quite stubborn. Thinking that I could always use duct tape if the lid fitting broke I put a little pressure on. Actually the lid did then slide off so don 't try to lift the lid at all just slide it.Batteries went in easily. I also discovered I could hold the light fitting underneath with one hand while turning the light stem gently and it tightened.Back upright again I then noticed a switch on the back of the actual light so no need to unzip the cushion to switch the light on or off.. The light is bright enough with it's five spots to give vision to all the keyboard in a dark room but if the stem of the light had been longer and could have been slanted around the back of my laptop and aimed over the middle of my laptop screen thus shining on all keys directly it would have been better.. I am a touch typist so I can actually type text in a darkened room but the light helps for finding other keys.I had just changed my laptop to a 14" model specially chosen as it does not have the number keys to the right of the keyboard thus the widyth of the laptop allows a more widespread keyboard which suits my fat fingers and my touch typing.My new laptop is almost 35mm. wide.The stem of the light stops my having the laptop right up to the left hand edge - another reason why I wish the stem of the light was longer to suspend around the back of the laptop. So placing my laptop to the left means there is about 2" of desk there but at the right hand side there is little less so my mouse has to be OFF the desk. Luckily my armchair has wooden armsjust under 4" wide but that is ok for my mouse.I am not a skinny person but despite pullinmg the desk towards my stomach and moving the contents of the cushion nearer my knees so it gives a sloping effect but the problem is laptops tend to weight down these knee desks towards the knees so I find I am having to put weight on the rim of the laptop with my wrists.

Brought because of the positive reviews but had to send back the cushion underneath is very poor it is lumpy so didn't sit flush/straight on my knee the worst part about this lapdesk for me was the poor placement of the cup holder and light, due to the position my 11" Chromebook didn't sit very well and had to overlap the divot at the bottom which made my Chromebook slip and slide. The light is very poor with a tiny beam/range of light and because of where it is placed I couldn't move my tec over to the other side, frankly even having a drinks holder IF using this for a laptop is is crazy your asking for trouble! Maybe if the cupholder was not included it would be better to the point of more space anyway.

Very please with my purchase.Good value for the money, it has other uses which is excellent.Can be used to place your book on and read,A4 sketching pad use to draw! crafts, etc.The only thing I would criticise is the led light.Should have come with batteriesYou have to unzip the underneath and place 3 x AA batteries. Apart from that good buy!!

Thought this was ok for the money when I first got it, but a few short months after purchase it is going in the bin as it is leaking polystyrene everywhere.Also the light fitting became very loose and swings around in the breeze. And the cup holder is too close in, so you cant have anything in it whilst you have a laptop on the tray.

Bought this as a present for my partner. She loves it.The only SMALL problem was that there was a tear in the inside padding cover which meant that as you undone the zip to get to the light battery case the small pieces of padding came out all over the floor. She said she would Sew the cover so no real need to send back. For the Price a really good product and would Recommend.

Arrived promptly - I spend a lot of time on my laptop and this is just the job for me it is very comfortable the shape allows for an easy working position. the cup holder is a bit of a waste for use with a laptop as it ends up under it, anyway who would be crazy enough to have a cup of liquid that close to a computer.

The product is a great alternative to the more expensive versions on the market. What you see is what you get, the product is very comfortable to work on and the LED lights are surprisingly very bright! I had a minor issue with the zip on the product itself but with just a quick email to the company, they were very fast to respond and sort out a replacement for me. Great customer service!

The product is just what I looking for. The only problem is that the light switch is very stiff to operate. Sometimes I struggle to switch the light on / off.
