The product is made from thin crepe-like paper. During our inspection, we found no manufacturer defect or design flaw. It is noted that these are designed as one-time use. We assess that this product will last 1 season of use.- Price: At the time of writing, this product is priced lower than other products on the market. The red lantern niche is highly saturated with competitors, and we noted that comparable products generally came in at higher price points. Moreover, we note that this product is bundled in a large group of 20 lanterns with artistic tails with the Chinese character for luck inscribed upon them. For these reasons, we consider this product to be a good value.- Function: This product works as intended. Due to the thinness of the material, during the deployment process we did accidentally rip a few of the lanterns. This type of product typically uses lightweight paper, but we feel that this product tore too easily.- Aesthetics: We love the look of this lantern set. It looks great and if installed properly, look very impressive. Even though these are typically hung during lunar new year, they can be hung anytime for any reason and in any environment.Bottom line: We like this product. Got these to give away to the kids at lunar new year party. very easy to assemble, but smells terrible!!! I was worried to give these away to kids because of the smell. They ended up playing for a bit and then tossed everywhere. I had to knock out one star due to the harsh smell.

These lanterns work well when hung up high where they are too far for anyone to scrutinize. Some issues I had were with the double-sided tape that was pre-attached to the lanterns. They were not completely covered up by their masking tape and this caused some of the lanterns to get stuck together in the packaging. Once they were set up, there were some issues with the lanterns where they did not have a perfect oval shape as some of the expanding paper sections were not completely symmetrical. Aside from those issues, they served their purpose well for their price point and volume. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone looking for something that will do the trick in a pinch.

These UNIIDECO Lunar New Year 10" Chinese Red Lanterns are very pretty and suitable for damp or humid locations.You get 20, identical, lanterns. They arrive flat and and you just remove the protective paper on the 3 strips of adhesive that is already installed on each lantern and then open out the lantern. There is a video on the product page showing clearly how to do this.What is nice is that it is made of thin, red, plastic, film rather than the traditional tissue paper so it's a bit more damp resistant. This film is quite thin, though, so care must be taken just as with tissue paper lanterns. This film can tear, too, so a gentle hand is needed.These look wonderfully festive and my teen loved decorating her room with them. They won't last forever and we will toss them when they get dusty but for the price, we really like them.

Essentially this is a party supply for anyone celebrating Lunar New Year. They are paper thin like paper streamers, and one requires careful unpacking and assembly, but this set should last at least a couple seasons. They are simple but do add a lot of eye appeal, and affordable enough for one time use.

I like that these are easy to put up and easy to put down. We used them for Chinese New Year 2022 and put them away to store for the upcoming year of the dragon. They are small but cute. Probably best for props in photos.
