My Backyard Color by Number (Dover Kids Coloring Books)

I am a 61 year old "kid at heart" who spends my evenings coloring. I have many color-by-number coloring books. Most of them have very detailed, small spaces to color, that can take 2-3 days to complete, which can be fun, yet very challenging. Sometimes I just want a fun and simple, very easy to color coloring book, without the challenge. My Backyard coloring book is filled with cute outdoors scenes that are fun to color while relaxing and watching TV. The numbers are large enough to comfortably see and the color chart is simple and easy to follow. This book may be aimed at the young kids but designed so that even the BIG, gray-haired kids can enjoy it too. I really do wish and hope that Maggie Swanson will come out with a My Backyard Volume 2 coloring book filled with more adorable and easy to color pictures!!!!

Love this book. My daughter really enjoyed coloring this activity book. The picures are beautiful. And it's also suitable for older kids who love to color. Shipped timely.

Keeps my 4 year old busy! She loves it! Because she can't read yet, I do have to color the numbers at the bottom of the page for her to know what colors to use.

Great for all ages

I have bought 2 of these color by number books titled "My Backyard" for my grandchildren, and they are the best books I have found. I have ordered other color by number books since, but none of them are even close to the pictures in this coloring book and several were returned. Most color by number books use a puzzle type shape which in my opinion, ruins the end picture. The pictures in this book are fabulous, very detailed but easy enough for 5 and 6 year olds to complete. I only wish Maggie Swanson created more books similiar to these!

Having had knee replacement and back surgery in a span of six months, I needed to find something to do besides read and crochet. Decided to try coloring. Wanted something simple so I tried this book. Yes, it's simple but it got me hooked. Prefer color by number since I am not artistically inclined. This led me to getting adult color by number and also unnumbered books. I find coloring very relaxing. I now am hooked!!!

My granddaughter loves this. She has spent hours coloring & is gaining confidence in her abilities. I love it as well
