★Review★I have to admit to being fairly new to the whole NA thing. I in the past have tended to avoid them as I find I like my characters older, and I have a view that this genre would be overly angsty and full of llama drama antics. However, the ones I have actually read and can remember anything about, have been, well, heart warmingly sweet. Well, I say that like there is a lot, but really there has been like 2 recently - and for some reason both have had a hero that is a virgin and the heroine being a bit more experienced! Not that I have intentionally gone for that, just the way it has worked out for me.As was the case here. The hero was great. I loved that he was a virgin, yet he was not ashamed of this, or felt the need to lie about it ever. It was what it was for him, and he never made out that it was anything to hide or lie about it. (although it felt a bit unrealistic in all honesty) still I loved this about him. I LOVED the banter and friendship between the hero and his team, and there were some very funny moments when they were all together. The heroine I really liked too. You felt for her, and how she looked out for her brother, even though she was forced into doing more than she wanted thanks to her parents.Which leads me to her parents, and maybe one of the areas of the book I had more of an issue with. They were cartoonishly villainous. And I wanted more of a resolution with them at the end when her father just turned up, made some noise, then seemed to just melt away without so much as a whimper. I am not sure why he even turned up, it added maybe a paragraph of mild drama, that then sort of faded. And the drama that led to them having to break up for a time felt too forced and unbelievable. Also, and I knew this going in, and I am not at all going to downgrade my rating due to this, but there were A LOT of American Football references, and descriptions, that I just did not get. As I say, I knew this going in, but it felt, for me, a bit too much. However, in saying that, I really really loved this story, and if you can come into it, needing something sweet and low on angst, and just sort of skim over the insta lust, it is a hugely enjoyable read. I loved the main characters and there are some secondary characters I would love to see get a book. I will definitely be continuing with the series.★Book Basics★Genre : - Cont NA RomanceSeries : - 1st in the seriesLove triangle? - NoCheating? - NoHEA? - YesWould I read more by this author/or in this series? - YesRating - 4 stars

Sensational!
The fact that Knox Master's is a six-pack adorned, confident swaggering virgin seems to either be a great selling point for this story or a complete turn off for others, simply because a hotshot college football star could in no way, shape or form remain a virgin-apparently-however Jen Frederick has taken her sterling characterisation skills and unique story telling abilities and given us a brilliant, romantic and sexual tension fuelled sports extravaganza and a bit like some readers our fierce and intelligent heroine Ellie has a hard time trusting another football jock or believing in his supposed Virginity status as he begins to pursue her; but it's the connection that these two have, one developed and explored through their combined adoration of the sport and the progression of an unlikely friendship and if course Knox's extreme determination to win the girl that elevates this book from just another sports romance to an epic and realistic love story that is not without its tumult of complications and problems. Knox is hero perfection but not without his own flaws, he's ambitious and ferocious on the field and even more so off of it particularly when he comprehends how entwined he and Ellie are and will be. Unlike most alpha heroes though Knox is a deep thinker, he's methodical and tactful rather than aggressive and hotheaded, he's romantic and unbelievably sexy and Ellie is his equal in every way; she is incredibly smart, witty, beautiful and very protective of her brother and when she and Knox clash together, it's tense, steamy and butterfly inducing.'He captures those parted lips between his again. This time his tongue delves deep into my mouth, finding places that have me moaning in longing. He lifts me with ease, using his football player strength, and pushes me against the wall. I wend my fingers into his short straw coloured hair and wrap my legs around his waist. All sense of preservation lies somewhere between the softball field and the apartment. He's wrecking me, in long licks and tiny bites, one tender and scorching hot kiss at a time.'Next to Tillie Cole, Elle Kennedy and Collette West, Jen Frederick has managed to become one of my favourite sports romance authors. It was a marvellous and well written story but what undoubtedly made it for me was that beautiful, clever and absurdly romantic ending. This is part of a series and to be honest there are so many fabulous and stand out characters throughout Sacked that I couldn't choose a favourite for the next srand alone story but I'm excited regardless.

A GOOD COLLEGE ROMANCE
Hmmmm.... I am truly sat on the fence with this book.... on one hand I loved it, Knox was one piece of man.... but on the other hand I struggled with parts of it, I just wasn't gripped.....The story was a pleasant change from the normal college romances... a hot virgin jock.... and I loved Knox and Ellie's chemistry.... but there's still a but for me.... I had a few issues with the time scale of events and I just simply couldn't connect with the characters which for me is a huge thing.... But overall I really enjoyed the story who doesn't love a good college romance....And I am left still wondering where this series will be taken and most likely pick them up to read....This is just my personal opinion... I have friends who have loved it, maybe I'm just super picky lol..... But this book is sure worth a read especially if you are craving college romances with a difference.....

Great
I love Knox's character. He s confident, talented sexy, honest and kind. I love the relationship he has with his teammates. Lots of fun banters, he is a good leader and they respect s him. Knox knows what he wants and he wanted Ellie. Their relationship was going well until something happy to threaten it. Knox is a excellent strategist on the field an with his mates so he used that same knowledge to remove the threat to ensure he will have his girl for keeps. Ellie parents are terrible and I was hoping they would get some reckoning for behaviour.
