Really tiny!
This little pallet is so tiny, but it’s great to take for a weekend trip!

Tiny and cute
Love it! It is so tiny that you can keep colors with you everywhere, it will fit any pocket. I used blue tack to stick the color wells to the box.

Cute pocket-sized palette! Good for light travel.
This mini palette from Mifuner would be great for light travel! I should probably mention that it is definitely smaller than I was expecting (fits in the palm of my hand), but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Finding an application for such a small palette is a bit tricky, but I’m sure most creative folks could do so fairly easily.Though I have not found the perfect application for it quite yet, I’m happy to have it on hand for when I find the right watercolors (or possibly vitamins or pills?) that I want to carry with me often. Storing a tiny spray bottle/mister along with it would also help to keep it more portable! I also love the beautiful flower pattern on the front, and that it comes with a sticky bead that helps keep the tray attached. My only worry about the design is that it’s so small, it may not be very practical for mixing colors. You may need an additional surface for that. (A small plate perhaps?) It also somewhat reminds me of the mint tins that people used to make palettes with, but a nicer, higher quality version. Overall, though it is very tiny, I think if that’s what you’re looking for it would certainly get the job done. Definitely recommend for creative souls who want to travel light!

I know it’s for paints, but I kind of want to use it for seeds!
Not even because it wouldn’t be good for paints. It would totally be good as a paint container, but it’s so cute and I just need 50 more of them so I can have one for all my paint sets, one for vegetables, one for fruits, maybe one for some beads. What I’m trying to say here is that I absolutely love this little tin, and the next time I decide to organize something teeny tiny or set up some paints, I’m going to be turning to it and probably ordering more. It’s the perfect size with an adorable design on the outside, and it has thick, strong, durable material all the way through. Finally, it opens easily and closes securely. It’s the whole package!

Smaller than expected
The tin is super cute. But I have to say it is a bit smaller than I was expecting. It closes and opens nicely. And seems pretty well made.It does come with a small doubled sided glue dot (that you have to apply) to keep the paint tray from moving all around or falling out of the tin. The paint compartments are pretty small and won’t hold a lot of paint but they will work great for small painting projects.Overall I would say it is a good purchase if you are looking for a small tin to hold your paints.

Well…using it as a pillbox holder
I’ll admit first that I don’t watercolor so I didn’t order for its original purpose. Saw it and thought it would make a good pillbox. Works well if you put one pill in each compartment. Shown with the most common, typical pain/fever reducing pills so you get an idea of size. If that doesn’t work, then that’s the reason for the clothes pin - for scale. Works well for what I intend to use it.

Perfect For Sketching On Location Without Dragging Out Big Paint Set
This is a tiny palette. It is really fun.SIZEThe tin with hinged lid is a little bigger than an Altoid container. The inside cubes are about the size of a small cube of sugar. They are rigid and not individual, however, so you have to be careful not to slop colors into each other.USEFULNESSThis is great for extra bits of paint that I mix myself, or if I want to make a quick palette of tube paint to carry with me in my sketching bag for location sketching. I bring a water brush and it is easy to use.LIDI have a tiny palette I bring with me as well as a tiny metal dish, but in a pinch, you can use the lid for mixing colors.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a great tiny little palette. It allows me to bring a custom paint set on location for sketching without taking up a lot of room.MY RATINGFIVE STAR. Although smaller than expected, I love this. It really fills a need for me and I am happy with it.

Exactly as described, great if you want a very small palette
If you're looking for a tiny palette to carry in your jeans pocket or small purse, the Mifuner Small Tin Box 12 Wells Empty Watercolor Palette is it. The dimensions in the third image say it's 2.36" x 1.85", and after whipping out my trusty tape measure, it is. That means it's a little smaller than a mini Altoids box.The insert has 12 wells, each holding probably a quarter pan of paint, although the corner wells are a bit smaller. It definitely holds enough paint to work with, particularly for those of us painting en plein air. The insert isn't a tight fit, so if you want to be sure it's not moving at all and cannot fall out if you open the box upside down, it's easy to add some double stick tape or some magnetic tape to the bottom to the bottom of the insert. The box is nicely magnetic, btw.I don't think the tin is fully waterproof, but that's not a problem for me as when I paint, the paint in the pans doesn't get wet enough to drip. If yours does, I suggest you either dap the top of the wet wells with a tiny piece of sponge or put the tiny box in a snack-sized Ziploc bag to protect your pocket. If you're ready to grab a couple small travel brushes and need a super small palette to carry up to 12 colors with you, this will do the job quite nicely. If you use large brushes or like to get all your bristles into your paint, consider you'll only be able to use maybe a size 5 or 6 round brush at largest. If you only use the tip in the paint, you could probably use a size 6 or maybe a size 8. I got this expecting it to be small, and I plan to use it with size 5 round brushes or smaller, and that works fine. If you're looking for the smallest palette size that can hold up to 12 colors of paint and you don't need much mixing space, I'd think this would be ideal.
