Perfect. Thought it might not work as the sticky side didn't look suitable for high heat and stuff but it does work perfect.

Cheap fix to a won gasket
The seal on my Kamado Joe Jr was breaking down. Only had the grill for 2 years and so not great but that is another issue. Replacing the seal is not that simple. You really have to remove the old one (or remnants thereof) and clean it as much as possible. If you don't then the new seal will not stick. Even then the ideal solution would be a circular seal to match the size of the grill you want to use it on. You have to apply a straight length of seal to a circular shape.The end result did seem good enough. Enough of the seal stuck to hold it in place and it did act to stop smoke escaping (I have no way of knowing if heat is still escaping but at least I can see smoke).Seemed expensive for what it was.
