Very good.
Horribly expensive for what it is, but it does work very well. I consider it to be a somewhat crazy purchase! A French classic! I found that if pepper stops coming out (that was a surprise for something supposed to be so effective) the answer is to turn up upsidedown and give it a good shake. Seems to be better on a coarse setting. Should last for years (they say they do...). I'm enjoying it anyway. A lot more pepper in my dishes and faster! Jolly good.

What Peugeot Does Well
If only Peugeot made vehicles like these, they would be kings of cars. The grinder is fantastic. It grinds perfectly and there is 5 settings so you can go from super fine to very coarse. This is the best grinder I have bought. The only thing that is bad about it, is the openings to pour the peppercorns in are very thin and small, so makes it awkward to fill. But once it's filled, it's great. £40 is a lot for a grinder, but it should last me for a very log time.

Does the job well; exactly as hoped
Had this pepper mill for about 3 months now. It's in daily use and while we get through a lot of black pepper it doesn't need refilling that often. The different grind fine-ness really works. However, if I'm making a big change in size, I'll tip the thing upside down to get the pepper corns out of the metal grinders first. A couple of other things to note. First: when it was very new, there was more friction than you'd expect between mill head and body but that eased up in time (helped with a wipe of olive oil). Second: the top screw tends to undo itself over time. When tightening it back on, it's important that you don't fasten it too tight otherwise Overall though, it's a great pepper mill. It's got that 'keeper' vibe and feels dependable and versatile for cooking and table seasoning.

Pricey but worth it.
Excellent pepper mill. I use it mainly on setting 2 where it produces a huge amount from one twist (compared to my old mill). It really brings out the different flavours when you use different sources of corns. We have perhaps tripled the amount of pepper we use because it is so easy and delicious. One time, the output became reduced and I simply tipped out all the corns and put them back in again and it was back to its usual self. I never thought I would spend 40 pounds on a pepper mill but I love it (and won't need to buy another one in my lifetime.)

Broken after 18 months
I threw away my larger 30cm Peugeot pepper mill simply because it never really worked as well as expected, but after reading reviews for an ultimate replacement, only ended up here again. I bought this Peugeot Paris adjustable grind mill. After refilling, it simply stopped working. Back to square one. I emptied it completely and then specifically used small peppercorns instead of the usual ones I buy in a bulk bag, and it now works as it should, with a large amount of pepper from grinding, which is what I was always after. So, my lesson here is that the size of peppercorns is CRITICAL. If it doesn't work and you end up having to bash it and shake it, you simply have peppercorns in there that are just too big. 18 months later and the adjustment block has dropped, making the mill useless. At £45, this is just not good enough, and after two Peugeot pepper mills, I am now going to research for another maker and won't be buying Peugeot again.

Quality pepper mill
Built quality is excellent. Grinds peppercorns with ease from fine to coarse. Worth every penny. Bought cheap ones before but this looks like a good investment.

Engineering the greatest flavour out of the greatest spice
Over a century engineering the best way to get the best flavour and texture out of a peppercorn. My other mills went straight into the bin and I bought 2 more, one for the dining table and the other for white peppercorns.
