I have been enjoying using different Chinese and Japanese tea sets. When I saw this, it looked really special, so I got it.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a little suitcase which has some foam inside with some satin. There is paperwork but it is in Chinese. Every piece is shrink wrapped in plastic.HOW TO USEI used this to serve some hibiscus tea. It was really pretty in the silver and we used two cups.POTThe pot keeps the tea very warm nicely. The one problem is that the handle gets REALLY HOT. You have to have a cloth or some kind of insulation to pick up the handle to serve the tea.CUPSThe cups when filled about 2/3 full do not get too hot to drink from if held from the top rim.DO THEY STAY SHINY?So far I have used this set a few times and it is still shiny.DOES IT CHANGE THE FLAVOR?I did not notice any flavor change yet. Some tea sets do change the flavor, but this one was okay so far.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a pretty fancy tea set, but probably more for special occasion use than daily.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. I wish this was a little more purchaser friendly with English inserts and explanations. Also, the handle getting hot is something you need to know before using this.PHOTOSI tried to get good photos but they were ruined, so I have to take some more. I hope to post them soon. This is an absolutely beautiful little tea set. I'm no metallurgist, but this set is definitely made of silver. Has that pretty ring that only silver has when you tap it. Disappointed as the marketing photos seem to indicate that the set was larger than it was. The tea pot is only like 3.5" in diameter and the cups are 1 7/8" across. So if you are ok with it being that small, this is perfect for you.
