Tenia un problema de fuga de aceite (motor m54) en la tapa de válvulas y después de cambiar 3 veces seguidas el empaque decidí cambiar la tapa y aunque fue difícil al final me decidí por esta y no me arrepiento, quedo totalmente a la perfección, mi fuga de aceite se ha ido y ademas el color se ve bastante llamativo.

Major scratches and paint defects and warped. I tried doing the flat surface test and there is a clear 1/4inch gap on one side not the other. This will not be going on my car I would like a refund unless you guys think you can make it right? I’m just baffled these are not checked for flatness before being shipped out. There must not be a whole lot of quality control going on. I took the chance on this because I’ve heard some people having a good experience with your aluminum covers and my engine badly needs a leak free sealing cover!

I just did an overhaul with the valve cover, ccv(pain the butt to replace) and the disa valve replacement. Good quality and I decided to use the gasket it came with which seems to be holding good, I will update in a few months.

About a month after I installed this valve cover, my car had an engine coolant issue and overheated for a short period of time. The intake manifold which was also plastic, separated along the seam and had to be replaced. I performed a leak test on the valve cover and it was just fine. A plastic cover would have warped in a heartbeat. The only thing that could be a little better would be the connection to the pcv hose. It doesn't have a defined lip around the port for the hose to lock onto. Other than that, great product and it looks good under the hood.

Didn’t expect much but fit and finish is spot on. Gasket looked ok too but I used Genuine BMW. Flawless paint? Nah. But who cares, it’s a cleaner look than black plastic anyway.
