Yale P-85-DMG-PB-40 Deadlocking Nightlatch, Dark Metallic Finish/Brass Cylinder, 40 mm Backset, High Security, with Automatic Deadlock

Great lock, ideal with a glass door I just wish they would provide 3 keys with the lock instead of 2 as a spare is always welcome and would be prepared to pay the extra. Other than that it's well made and replaced the single identical yale lock without any drama. However, be aware this is not an Insurance accredited lock as you can only double lock it from outside. An insurance accredited Yale lock is much chunkier and requires more work to fit and is a lot more expensive, plus you need a more substantial doorframe but they also lock from inside with a key.

Brought it to replace a very similar version by Yale that was 15 years old give or take and was broken in several ways. This new lock is great and installing it was pretty straight forward and the quality is of a high standard.

Yale lock broke on my garage personnel door. This was not an exact replacement, but with a bit of adapting it did the job.

Had to replace the lock of the same make off my door. The replacement lock I ordered had no threads in the mounting bracket and thus I was not able to fixate the locking mechanism to the bracket with the small screws provided. Luckily I still had the old one so I was able to still use that. This one had clear threading so it was obvious on the new one it was forgotten. Bit disappointing for the price and would not have been able to mount the lock if I did not have the old one.

Very disappointed in the build quality of this lock. There is loads of free play inside the latch and the key doesn't always operate the lock!I thought that Yale were known for their quality of products!
